It's been quite a while since I've played the game, and a lot of things are new to me (What's this about white wood now?). So I decided to start with something simple but meaningful: “the legendary square house”… Any ideas on what I could add to the interior? And what other structures could I build next?

I would suggest building a fountain
Just add random rooms based on things you’d want in an actual house. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, etc. + some weird stuff like a nether room, bee room or a taco bell.
100 percent a floor (cobble obviously), an enchanting and potion room with glowstone everywhere and poppies and dandelions in a garden at the front
A diamond roof.
