How you get the iridium sword before getting down the skull cavern?
First time I went to the skull cavern I couldn't pass floor 5

Another way to get easy Iridium ore is the stash you get from the Grandpa shrine. Sometimes I get tend to sometimes I get 7 and sometimes I get 3. I didn't know that until I just got it.

I would not prioritize the desert totem recipe if you're short on iridium. If you've diving Skull cavern you should be swimming in omni geodes. Outside of completing the mineral collection they aren't super useful and have no sale value, so you're better off trading them in for desert warp totems (3 geodes) or artifact troves if you are short on artifacts.

Hey my expendable cash is next to nothing since the pandemic aftermath but I am sending you this one-time appreciation gift because I never thought I could get along in the desert cavern but today I reached 110 levels and had to stop as 3 or 4 beasts came at me all at once… so I just hit my farm warp-totem with a split second til my extinction! And I managed to have lots of iridium loot in my backpack…so…MANY THANKS to you for this very helpful video. xoxox
Mostly get to around 200-300 depending on luck. Stair down to 50 and after if the floor I'm on has more then 10 or so rocks in a group less then a few steps away I'll bomb it, else it's stairs.

Before giving tips on how to what to do in the cavern, it would be useful just to explain how to reach the cavern
For food, I used the Spicey Ell and Ginger Ale so I had speed and luck. I used the big bombs and moved fast. I also had rings to allow the item collection pan to increase. I wouldn't stop for long above floor200 unless I saw a grouping of at least 3 iridium within a step or two that a single bomb would allow collecting.

Just over floor 110 is my best with no staircases. I've hit 100 several times but I have never gotten the quest step that gives me a snakemilk at floor 100 (where do you get that?!).

Somehow i got a prismatic shard from the quarry.
Pumpkin soup is better than spicy eel. But I didn't even use it. I only used roots platter and I was able to get to floor 100 at 1:50am using 44 staircases. I used more than 10 in the last hour though cause it had already passed 1am when I got to level 90. Duplicate a lot of jade and trade for staircases. That's what I did.
6:06 what she said about the one hour makes a difference is totally true because on one playthrough I found the monster room like the 99th floor and it took me a while to clear it and that was with us their cases so I couldn't go down by that time it was like 1 a.m. 1:30 and by the time I got out of the monster room it was 140 and I was lucky with the shaft I got me precisely two full of 100 and I got to the cutscene at 1:50 a.m. when nicotine ended I instantly fell asleep

I hit 65 on a casual day – not trying to get 100. Highest luck day plus pumpkin soup (+2 luck). Will defo do it again w lucky lunch. I got four treasure floors and the infested floors were super easy.

Iridium ore easy for me already have 24 winter year 1 on my beach farm. Those amazon packages that wash up is OP. Iridium Pickaxe anyone without going to skull caverns by spring year 2 😂
