Loving the series so far! A little hint for you is whenever you see the barrels or crates in the mines, break with with your sword! Its much more efficient and doesn't waste energy. They drop really good stuff sometimes. Also, if you see bushes with red circles on them, shake them to get berries, its an easy and free food source. Also also, if you see slimes with little stars above their heads, kill them. You get special loot like boots and weapons if you do. Cheers!
The 2 gifts refer to the number of gifts you can gift in a week (you can give an extra gift on npc birthday). The colour of items doesn't always tell whether they will like it or not (later in winter you will gain an ability to collect secret notes some of them will give you a list of items loved by certain characters) Edit: and for the love of god the scarecrow covers 8 tiles in all directions please put your crops inside of it (especially expensive ones like cauliflower) or they will be eaten by crows
Nice job giving the dog water each day! You might want to interact with the dog each day too. This is one of the metrics measured on year three when grandpa returns.
good job finding abigails best gift so quickly, they are semi common and a loved gift for her so its pretty good. and yeah its kinda a shame when the best thing about clint is a non cannon accent that you gave him. oh and the ores are supposed to be mined. it says if you read the quest that its one of the requirements so if you dont do that he thinks you are trying to gift him a single copper ore. which to be fair is a pretty shitty gift. and break the crates and barrels in the mines with your sword its way quicker.
if youre holding an item when you talk to someone it with show the present above your head. that means you gifting the item. for quests you just have to have the item in your inventory for them to take it
Clint is a fúcking coward in the ??? He asks you to slay some monsters cause he could'nt he said it was for other people but lets be honest its just him being a baby and it gets even worse when you marry emely sometimes he asks YOU how to date your wife bruhhhhhh
By the time you read this, it will probably have passed, but you were in salmonberry season during this episode. If you look at the footage you'll notice some of the bushes had reddish berries on them (like at the bus stop). From 15-18 in the spring you can harvest those for free food. There's also bushes with blackberries for a few days in the fall.
I hate it when I accidentally give a character something I was holding above my head. And just to add salt to the wound it's always something they hate anyhow.
I like to pick "city in the sea" for Sam's song subject, but trains do go pretty hard too. 😊 This particular prompt doesn't affect anything, but when you befriend Sam enough you can choose what type of music his band plays.
And the guitar just reminded me that I need to refill the humidifiers in my ukulele cases and guitar. Lol
When you're in the mines, some slimes will have a bobble above their head (antenna type thing) they will drop algae, you can eat it. Some slimes have a star, they will drop an item sometimes it'll be boots so always get those slimes.
staircases cost 99 stone to make and they immediately drop a ladder in the mines. stone is pretty valuable early game and the mines aren't too hard, so it's not really worthwhile, but they can be in certain situations (like those awful spiral floors!)
Read TV "Livin off the Land" Mon and Thursday (you would have known about Salmonberry Season) and Queen of sauce every Sunday. 28 days in a season btw. You are doing well.
Lil tip: you can take the quests even if you don't want to do them. You can just take them for no reason, there are no consequences and you won't lose the quest if you randomly complete it

Lastly Tale decides to trigger EVERYONE's OCD by leaving TWO PLANTS UNWATERED and constantly showing it to us. (and also didn't pick berries from bushes but that's ok he doesn't know because he doesn't watch tv)

Loving this series. I also played without the wiki for my first playthrough, until late game lmao. You should read the books in the library, they can be really helpful. to find books, just use your hoe to dig up the wiggly worms you see in the ground 🙂
