  1. To clear up a few things from this video. Odd gt dealys were still possible before copper bulb but they were bigger and clunky. They either involved pistons (which take 3gt) leaves or scaffolding.

However, on bedrock edition, redstone only runs on 10 tps (even the odd gt things i mentioned above) so it is impossible to get odd delays on bedrock. There is a running theory that me and the technical community believe that the main reason the bulb got updated to be instant rather than have a 1gt delay was because of bedrocks inability to handle odd delay. Mojangs approch to parity is to just make all the new features "similar enough" and ignore the actual root problems of parity, one of them being bedrocks literal half speed redstone.

Also Crafty Crafter Counter mentioned LOL

  2. The binary counter aspect would essentially do to redstone computers what Solid State Transistors and Integrated Circuits did to real life computers!

(Given what they have accomplished with current Minecraft, it would be WILD to see what the copper bulb would enable; i hope they change it back)”, or at least make it an option in world setup)

  3. This is how you also don't listen to feedback, this is still ignoring feedback what's been done here. Someone needs to tell them.

  4. Everyone liked the new update, then some hated the changes. It went from everyone liking it to some hating the new changes. Like whats the point of it being more than 1 tick when it literally doesn't benefit anyone in any way

  5. The community: is extremely happy about the copper bulb
Mojang: guys we fixed the copper bulb!
    The community: >:(
    Mojang: surprised pikachu fase

  6. I think the change to crafters from 1tick to 4ticks isn't a terrible Idea, just as it wouldn't make sense to have a furnace on a 1tick cooldown. But the copper bulb change is unnecessary, as the copper bulb was specifically made for Redstone use, so why does it need to be consistent with other light sources for people that are not super into redstone??

  7. Becase clearly strict 'consistancy' is what everone wanted. They are handling consistancy the wrong way. You fix inconsistency by removing bad mechanics and aiding good ones not complete other way around.

  8. crafter: fine. copper bulbs: NO. It might be kind of odd for the average player, but I think that it really, REALLY would help the redstone community.

  9. Mojang when bedrock was first announced: "were gonna completely remake minecraft in a faster, optimized language cuz java is hard to develop for other platforms"
Mojang now: "yeah were not adding / fixing things, bedrock clunky" 😂

  10. well hold on then if they want consistency why not make all togglable light blocks 1 tick. Redstone lamp, copper bulb and whatever else they might add. Light is the fastest thing ever anyways.

  11. The Mob vote stuff always felt stupid to me. A lot of people getting upset for a stupid reason. But this feels really different in a way. Having a new redstone feature can change the game for a lot of people. Taking that away feels like if they were to revert honey block functionality to just be a yellow slime block.

  12. I would like to note that the article does say they're "tweaking the tick delay behavior of the crafter and the copper bulb while they're still in experimental development "
I read this as "We'll change it back once we're done with experimenting".
But it could also mean "We're changing it now so people can't say we removed a cool mechanic".

  13. Crafters fill items DIFFERENTLY than droppers and dispensers. Copper is great at conducting electricity. So the Copper Bulb should be 1 game tick as well as the Crafter.

  14. I have a friend who is amazingly consistent at having the opposite opinion from the objectively correct one each time. The annoying contrarian on things no human should ever dare to be, especially morals. And of course he's on mojang's side on this change. It must be so unbearable to be that unlikeable, I literally have to question why I associate with him. But it is a bit comical that his insane-asylum reaction to this community feedback is the drop for me.

  15. If every redstone block was consistent with the preset rules, we wouldn’t be this far. Comparators, observers, pistons, slime blocks, they all have unique mechanics that can make very interesting contraptions. Why should the bulbs be any different

  16. Okay, it was already frustrating what they did for "consistency", but the fact there were already 1-tick delays possible makes me livid. The statement here is that 1-tick delays aren't intentional and they shouldn't exist, so why was a smaller and much better-looking mechanism patched but not the original one? It just makes no sense at all. And I know it was for "parity", but lets be honest bedrock and java redstones are so dissimilar does it even matter?
