I was looking for a fun playthrough, and saw this suggested. It only changes one value in the game’s code but it makes for some interesting results. Plus we can play Expert mode because all the enemy grinding disappears, it’s a win-win. We’re getting close to the end now, the dungeon should be interesting…

Soooo how about a negative luck playthrough? can you use that mod to get to permanent -1 luck, ie below the regular hard cap of -0.4?

I like how we started hitting numbers of luck that no human being alive could ever conceive on a physical scale. Most people can't conceive the difference between 1 million and 1 billion, fewer can conceive the difference between a billion and a trillion. Incredible.

But anyway, 1 in 2.87×10^234 is represented as
1 in 2 Septenseptuagintillion 870 Seseptuagintillion (please don't ask me how to pronounce that lol)

This mod has since been fixed, it no longer crashes upon the Travelling Merchant's arrival (though it might lag).

"infinity," in this context, typically means the value has exceeded 1.79 x 10^308 (1.79e308)

For most mathematical scenarios, anything ^300 or more is above a centillion, you can usually figure out the name based off of the zeros since if the amount is divisible by 3 you can take that, and the name will sound similar. For example, "septenseptuagintillion" in the video, we see "septen" meaning 7, and "septua" meaning 70. Since people named numbers weird that means there is 78 sets of 0s. What I mean by that is the first set is at thousand and not million so we have to add 1 to the number. Back to the original point, centillion is at ^300, but for most scenarios, anything above 1.8 with 308 zeros is often classified as infinity. For the last video by the way, "octovigintillion" is 28 because we all know octo is 8, and vigin comes from "viginti" in latin meaning "twenty-fold".
So hopefully anybody a year after this video that's confused about the number systems will now have this fun fact to know.
