Today I will be attempting to defeat Terraria while being the one and only blue Hedgehog himself will being a speed demon make the game easier or harder I don’t know but I got to collect some rings before I have any hope of obtaining my Hedgehog powers and of

Course the only way to collect Rings is by slaughtering enemies but I can’t be willy-nilly about it oh oh my coins oh where did they go oh no I was really hopeful I would be able to pick my coins back up after having lost them but I had no such luot

I lost all the coins I had gathered up to that point so getting hit by literally any enemy must be avoided at all costs if I’m going to collect these things what do they do I don’t know yet but I have to assume they’re useful for something I’m super happy to see a

Desert pyramid the moment I find the desert on the left side of the map but that wasn’t the only surprise I was in for what the heck are ha hi UMO mow hello inside the chest was a Magic Carpet which I’ll learn is one of the best accessories I could have asked for

As Sonic but in the meantime I’m trying to figure out what this thing that’s following me around is I’ve played several Sonic games but I’m no Sonic expert I think I know what these things are and one of them is always following the character cream around if you’re a

Sonic Enthusiast let me know if that’s right I go further left and this thing is still following me so I guess I’m stuck with it whether I like it or not what I found a cave and mined straight down into it until I found an opening

With a Minecart Track that went into the tundra here I acquired my first weapon the ice Boomerang which isn’t a bad way to start I continued to explore but the omo Chow is still there and it occurred to me I should check to see if I can

Interact with it after it had taken some damage from a slime oh oh turns out the coins I collect from enemies can be used to purchase different Sonic accessories that’ll bestow some Sonic Powers upon me I grabbed a magic mirror real quick and started to farm for 50 coins because

That’s how many I need to buy one of the six available Sonic abilities after some struggling I read what each of the abilities do and think that the only real option is the Speedy shoes I’m Sonic I got to go fast before anything else oh D oh let’s go let’s go

Yes the footage really does not do the speed Justice plus I’m in confined quarters I later discovered that my average top speed is now 94 mph which I suppose is slow when compared to the actual Hedgehog but it’s plenty fast enough for a small Terraria world and

Remember how I said the Magic Carpet was one of the best accessories I could have asked for well it’s all because I can now use it to float over the surface while speeding along with my Sonic shoes this is super fun but so is compat moving this fast really makes mixes

Things up a bit sure you’d think that going this fast let me Dodge anything with ease but it also means I can accidentally run into them all the time it also makes aiming My Boomerang more challenging and I’m overall quite enjoying this change of pace I quickly

Make a few houses and then had an idea I got an umbrella earlier and using that negated fall damage flying with a magic carpet is great and all but I ended up running out of flight time on the other side of mountains and then splatting Against The Valleys on the other side of

Them so the umbrella is a great option for its slow fall effect and the fall damage negation I found myself in the Crimson next to the dungeon and I decided that with the help of the ice Boomerang I’d be able to take down enough enemies to farm out more rings

For more Sonic abilities if one Sonic ability was this much fun then I’m sure the others will be just as good the first one I buy is called the rolling ball and it’s supposed to allow me to turn into a Sonic ball while running by pressing down but as I continued farming

Rings I continued struggling with using it after trying for quite a while I finally got it to activate but I wasn’t sure what I had done differently to make it work this time I was still a little confused but I had collected enough rings for a new ability and this

Time I purchased one that seemed to have a much simpler application this is the attack ball and now every time I jump I turn into a living weapon the only catch is that I can’t use any of my weapons or else I’ll leave this form I am also

Immune to contact damage while rolled up into this ball but not immune to projectiles thing is the ball inherits the same jumping accessories I already have so now I can hover while in this Sonic form and seeing this ball moving back and forth midair is just funny to

See but I also wanted to figure out the rolling ball attack so I flattened out an area to see if that would help and after some practice I figured out that I can only enter the Ball State if I let go of the left or right direction keys

So I have to stop moving tap down and then I’ll turn into a ball and can move again it’s a little clunky trying to use it but it also means I can make myself Invincible to contact damage while on the ground this mod is seemingly broken

Right now but the jungle was going to show me I wasn’t nearly as powerful as I thought I was after killing some jungle bats on the surface while in my ball form I was sure that I would be able to make myself Invincible to just about everything oh and the ball form inherits

The damage of the weapon I have selected in my hot bar so I have to have a weapon ready if I want to actually kill anything like this but that’s not the problem see I was using my Sonic ball against the maneaters when I suddenly took damage I hadn’t attacked and wasn’t

Out of flight either I had just randomly taken damage scratching my head I knew I had to figure out why so I ran back to the jungle and I absolutely love being able to move this fast and I attacked the nearest Maneater with my Sonic abilities sure enough I took damage once

Again both times it had happened on the second hit but when I was attacking jungle bats earlier I could hit them three or four times and never take damage so it’s not the number of times that breaks this form and even after finishing the whole run I have no idea

Why this happens either way it makes me a whole whole lot more wary about using this attack too much and my dreams of breezing through the game while being an invincible Hedgehog are shot I kept exploring the jungle though because I desperately wanted to be a Sonic with a

Shotgun and gosh darn it I was committed to this well down here I also learned that the number of rings enemies drops is equal no matter who the enemy is big or small dangerous or not all had the same drop rates meaning that the bees down here are probably an easy farm for

Heaps of Rings If Ever I need them I also o just noticed that the flying Sonic pet guy will actually die if damaged enough and considering how he sticks to me like glue and I’m really good at running into enemies he never survived very long there is a non-consumable item though that can

Resummon him he just spawns on his own kind of randomly on top of that I found a mace in an ivy chest and that’s the game playing a dirty trick on me and I was feeling a bit cocky and decided it was time to fight the eye cthulu after

Making an arena I spawned it in and the ey simply cannot keep up with me I’m I’m also so much faster than my boomerang that with a certain level of precision I could potentially make it hover on top of the eye and do continuous damage but

That’s really tough to do so I stuck with the typical fighting method while using the jumping attack ball to make myself Invincible to his attacks easy fight but keep in mind this ball does not make me immune to projectiles which does not bode well for Hard Mode killing

The Servants of cthulu gave me a bunch of coins and with those I purchased the two other Sonic shoes that were available one of them gives me a stomping ability while the other gives me a supersonic dash at the cost of five rings from my inventory I thought I’d

Use that instead of The Shield of cthulu but I’d end up changing my mind later it was too easy to lose rings and not be able to use the dash in the first place plus it’s so fast it’s hard to control and is pretty ineffective underground I also finally realized that the Rings

I’ve been collecting are not just a currency but also a material handing them to the guide I learned that 4,000 rings can be used in crafting Chaos Emeralds and that’s an absurd number of rings but for the low low price of 50 I could make a chaos ring what the heck is

A chaos ring I had to know so I went to the crimson and crafted one of these rings at a crimson altar I then threw the thing in a massive ring appear so I run through it and what the heck is this there’s a boss there’s a timer there’s

Colorful blocks and birds in the background and I’m dead what did I just witness m was never going to work on that flying thing so I figured I should return to my hunt for a shotgun and Sonic the fastest Hedgehog alive could not find a single shotgun for an entire

Hour and 10 chests later only at the end of that punishing search was I finally bless with the Sonic with a shotgun were there better ways to spend my time absolutely but gosh darn it I got a shotgun at this point I would usually have already explored the skies but I’m

Just getting to that now and I’m honestly unsure if Sonic Powers made it easy easier or harder to find them sure I could check out more of the Skies faster but I was also stuck along a horizontal line so I could easily Miss Islands just above or below me but I

Guess most islands spawn around the same general area I got the Horseshoe balloon magnet and star Fury so that’s everything would have been cool to get fledgling wings but those are just so rare a goblin army invaded when I returned home and being Sonic definitely

Made it easier but not by much I could get around them easily enough but the Wizards could always teleport along my flight path and projectiles are Sonic’s number one weakness and The Archers are always the hardest part of this Army it went pretty well but I’m crying tears

Because I was wishing I could be an invincible little hedgehog I set up housing in the desert because although Sonic is fast nothing beats instantaneous Transportation I then stopped by the Crimson to break a second orb for the sake of loot but then the brain spawned because apparently I had

Broken two hearts earlier and had forgotten guess I’ll have to try and win this fight by using a little Sonic cheese the attack ball although not perfect could help protect me from some of the creepers whipping around so even if I am being juggled I was the only one

Dealing damage not the one being dealt damage too I also just have to get past the creepers as once the brain is in second form I’m certain my Sonic ball can carry me to Victory I was operating on what was probably one or two health for a while focusing hard on attack ball

Countering the creepers and At Last I made it to the second phase and was able to squeak out of Victory oh my goodness that was perhaps one of the most intense fights I had ever had against the brain of all things with the Rings I had

Collected thus far I bought the last of the Sonic items in the shop one reduces the number of rings I drop when I’m hit and another says that if I hold down I can turn into a ball rev up and then presumably dash at enemy I totally forgot about this ability and wasn’t

Able to get it working well when I tried using it so I never ended up actually utilizing this power I needed some more Crim Tain so I fought the brain again but after having made an arena I actually managed to lose the fight admitted I’m a little embarrassed but I

Got the crimtane I needed from the creepers I had killed crafting Crim taine armor I got to work on a elevator while also searching for the goblin tinkerer with his Workshop I was able to combine all the shoes into a single shoe accessory and all the balls into a

Single ball accessory and that’s nice after this point I had to choose between two or three of these things since I still need a few vanilla accessories to get around this world now that I’m the ultimate pre hard mode Sonic I head off to the dungeon to take down Skeletron

And after beating the brain with no Arena I figured wouldn’t bother making one for him either after all the head and hands I can bounce right off of with Sonic I just have to be wary of the skulls he shoots when the hands are down the fight was going well but then I

Accidentally activated my Sonic Dash going to the left while Skeletron went to the right and I ended up leaving the battlefield on accident oh wait no I went too fast I didn’t even know you could run away SK that’s quite unfortunate so I built a quick Arena and summoned him the next

Night when I fought him this time I realized that Skeletron can actually keep Pace with me when he wants to oh oh okay okay Skeletron coming in with coming in h Skeletron my boy why are you so fast when second form came around I actually found the skull projectiles to

Be a quite bit harder to dodge they shoot at me so running away just means that they have a much wider angle that they are shot at and are harder to read in my opinion though running into his head didn’t help either during the next fight I realized

However that I could actually do circles around his head while he shot skulls just keep doing circles then this up and around up and around up and around oh I’m not sure how viable this is in vanilla but being so fast made this move pretty easy to repeat of course now that

Skeletron is dead I headed into to the dungeon which was one of the worst places to be a Sonic there are traps and Spikes all over the place in the confined quarters with very few flat grounds and high spawn rates actually made this an even harder place to

Survive as Sonic than as a regular terrarian I almost wanted to skip the dungeon altogether but having a Cobalt Shield would be so helpful as Sonic I also got the mamasa because the knight’s Edge is a wonderful weapon let’s get to the underworld where I should introduce

The only real use for the stomp shoes using them against enemies often meant I would take damage it was real inconsistent it was supposed to make me immune but not always so I typically use them for going down the underworld quickly the only problem is that once I

Activate the Sonic stomp I can no longer move to the left or to the right so I’m locked in until I hit the ground that’s not that so stomp at your own risk I collect health stone and make a nice Edge and since the attack ball inherits the power

Of the weapon in my hot bar this is also the strongest my Sonic attack has been I figured that this was probably enough using a hellbridge is usually essential in fighting the wall of fresh but considering how fast I am I drank a water walking potion and a featherfall

Potion and those combined with my super sonic speed I figured would carry me to Victory all right you’re going down a wall you are toast you ain’t got nothing on me I’m the flying sound um the invin oh why am I low on health turns out I forgot to check my

Health before spawning the wall in and was halfway dead before the battle even started hold up hold up hold hold hold up I call timeout I call timeout the wall wasn’t honoring my timeout so I had to try and finagle my way to Victory from this mess and that was not happening

Oh that was just bad um let’s try that again but this time while starting at full health come on okay just a little bit further oh just a little bit further a little more a little more uh-oh uh-oh uhoh uhoh uhoh come on oh let’s go 180

You’re you’re kidding me so it would seem that being Sonic ain’t so easy either that or I’m just bad in a Hell Bridge would actually have been a good idea whatever the reason may be I played a bit more cautiously during the third fight and managed to pull out an

Can be acquired in hard mode I’m just not sure when where how or anything so I broke the Crimson alters and breaking Crimson Alters is so much of a pain compared to Breaking the demon altars in a corruption um and I M my way to add my

Tight armor and chat then suggested I should try using the jousting Lance see its damage increases with my movement speed and considering I am Sonic the Hedgehog I would think that a weapon like this would work quite well for me I just need the furry to spawn oist oh

Perfect timing I need you give me a what oh what do I need to get the Lance turns out I need to fill out 30% of the beastiary before I can purchase a lance from the zoologist and right now I only have it 25% filled I didn’t know I had

Run into so few enemies so I spent quite a long time filling in another 5% of the beastiary until I could finally purchase the jousting lance look at that Bo oh yeah I wasn’t sure if this would actually be effective and didn’t have a great way to test it until a Blood Moon happened and this increased spawn rates which is perfect for testing this thing’s damage dashing around I found found I could actually easily kill many

Of the weaker enemies and all enemies that weren’t immune to knock back were launched into the air when I hit them this is fun but also not great because I outrun them when they are tossed into the air and if I run straight they often

Fall on top of my head so hitting them up was actually making extra projectiles for me to dodge also the clowns were a problem overall the damage output wasn’t that much higher and it was a little disappointing but then I had an idea I was able to hold out the justing l while

Also entering my rolling Sonic form this means I can make myself immune to physical attacks while also having the damage output of the Lance doubled by having the Lance itself do damage but also my ball form doing damage in order to make this work though I need an arena

Made of solid blocks entering my ball form requires that I press the down key which would drop me off a platform so I need solid blocks to walk on it’s a weird way to do an arena but I am determined to make this jousting L strategy work I practice the strategy

With pressing the right keys at the right time time with King Slime it seemed like it could work but before I try it against the worm I remember the modded boss I failed to kill in Pre hard mode maybe in hard mode I can take it

Down so I jump into the new dimension twice and die while doing next to no damage to it I guess maybe it’s meant for later in progression so I figured I’d try the Lance against the worm now a full moon didn’t help matters what with werewolf spawning and ruining my flow

But I was doing very little damage regardless but not because the weapon didn’t do good damage but because the Destroyer wouldn’t go over the platforms that are hardly 20 blocks in the sky AB built boxes in space before only to have him find his way up to them but now he

Can’t make his way up this tiny incline it was good practice though I’m unsure it’ll work but I really want this to figuring the blocks in the sky might be the problem I flattened the area around spawn the next night though I got a Blood Moon which wasn’t helpful during

The boss fight but I was still struggling to do damage the Destroyer was often under the ground and I couldn’t line the worm up well enough to do a lot of damage sure I was hitting it but in order for the Lance strategy to

Work I need a long row of worm to hit I got some wings really quickly and the third time I summon the worm I started to figure out what I needed to do but more than that I realized the jousting Lance can actually attack beneath the

Platforms I stood on I just assumed I couldn’t attack through walls and hadn’t tried that yet this changes everything but day is close so I need to kill him fast no no no a little frustrated I figured I should get a range weapon to supplement the land so I farmed Crimson mimics for

A dart pistol and summon the destroyer for a fourth time oh and another Blood Moon happened why why am I getting blood moons every 5 Seconds this went a lot smoother using the Lance only when it could be effective while using the dart pistol for the rest of the time it also

Occurred to me that I was fast enough to dash on over to the nurse before the Destroyer caught up and then healed not great having to use the nurse cheese against the Destroyer but this is the price of using the jousting L I guess doing this however made the Destroyer

Chase me over and leave a long straight segment exposed and this is very satisfying I wasn’t efficient or optimized in any way but I really wanted to actually use a strategy that felt appropriate for my Sonic Powers instead of doing the same things I always do I

Then realize there’s a hollow to land new justing Lance Let’s Do It Let’s just do it for the meme I may have crafted it for the meme but it damage is no laughing matter I spawned in the destroyer and took him down to half Health before he finished

Spawning in and hitting him while lined up was significantly more effective now I’m starting to wish there was another justing Lance between the one the zoologist sells and the hollowed one because the one the zoologist sells is not great on the damage front because it can after all be acquired pre boss

Before getting to the other mechs I wanted to take down the modded boss in the Sonic World this thing is legitimately one of the hardest bosses I’ve fought in moded Terraria it doesn’t look like something that should be difficult but the reason it’s so hard is that the projectiles do enough damage to

Three or maybe four shot you and they are entirely random some fights were not at all that difficult because it shoots its projectiles in a way that were easy to dodge but other times there were literally no openings I watched for a pattern but there was none it just CHS

Random places to shoot these death Spears and you just have to hope that there’s an opening and even with my great speed I had to rush past and under the thing all the while hoping the next wave of projectiles don’t just happen to shoot directly below it like it often

Does after many many failures I discovered that flying up and then falling back down helped create more openings and made the battle much more possible and at long last I took down the the stupid thing what did it drop a Chaos Emerald you know those things that

Can craft with 4,000 coins to be fair it’s way easier to beat this boss than collect 4,000 coins but I also need all seven Chaos Emeralds and the only way to get all seven is to beat this boss seven times or else collect more rings than

I’ve seen this entire run just a crap one the boss doesn’t change either it’s the same fight over and over again so now I’m stuck farming this boss who shoots random projectiles in random directions and although I’ve found a strategy that improves my odds there’s

No telling when it might just not work I really wish the boss changed even a little bit after every Victory but I collected all seven emeralds and apparently I can’t use them until I unlock the rest of my Sonic Powers well that’s unfortunate and Mako still ain’t

Selling anything new so why take down the other Mech bosses on the first attempt while sticking to a range build because I don’t see Sonic performing very well At Close Quarters with these guys feel nothing new in the shop so I head to the Jungle to mine chlorop FY

Find life Fruit and create a planta Arena around the first bull by SE having full chlorified armor and a true Hollow sword is super helpful I debated farming for turtle armor as having high defense is nice to have while playing as Sonic the squish but having the projectile

Selling nothing new so I figured beating Golem had to be the point when I could buy new stuff from the shop so after making Nano bullets I double checked recipe browser to make sure I wasn’t going crazy and there was indeed more Sonic stuff I could craft and then I

Headed to the temple I really should have checked what those other things crap though I cleared out the jungle temple which wasn’t actually as bad as I thought it would be and then summoned Golem I really thought that this boss fight would be one of the hardest what

With my new found speed unlike all the other bosses I am forced into a confined area so I can’t stretch my legs like I do with other bosses and I was pretty sure I’d end up running directly into the Fireballs the Golem shoots all over the place as it would turn out however

Quickly running back and forth was surprisingly effective I still died during the first battle but after that first fight I realized I had only used a Ranger weapon and I crafted the ranged headgear for chlorified armor and took the Golem down on the second attempt and yet omu is still not selling anything

New I checked the recipe browser again and my jaw dropped as I realized all I needed was to purchase another attack ball and then combine it with Souls of light and Souls of Night that would allow me to make a new Sonic ability that can be combined into the Ultimate

Sonic IC accessory I could have had this thing forever ago the new ability also allows me to lock on targets and dash at him to do damage it’s pretty cool but cooler than that is my Chaos Emeralds which can now be Used oh my goodness let’s go oh it only last that long huh by consuming 50 rings I can finally use Chaos Control I farmed a eclipse for the terrablade and I messed around with the supersonic as I did this and I learned I was actually Invincible while in this form like actually

Invincible and my top speed now went to 188 mph double what it had been before it took five month Rons to get the broken hero sword but considering now I have over 2,000 rings in my piggy bank and I’m Invincible while in that super sonic form I have a feeling the rest of

This run will be a breeze I brought down the lunatic cultist and all the pillars while not using this ability as I wanted to save them for moonlord and none of the pillars or the cultist were that difficult anyways and now it’s moonlord time I immediately activate supersonic

But I’m also immediately hit wait I’m not Invincible but I do get infinite flight it’s also lasting way longer than I thought it would and I realized when checking my inventory that the number of rings I have on hand is steadily decreasing turns out once I entered this

Form I slowly consumed the Rings in my inventory and supersonic end when I run out of rings but considering I have over 2,000 I have more than enough to defeat moonl Lord while in this form with this stupidly insane movement speed and endless flight despite not having invincibility for whatever reason I was

Able to pull out an easy Victory there we go we just beat Teraria Sonic the Hedgehog let’s go let’s go and that’s it also shiny golden ball Sonic is funny to look at I am just a shiny golden ball in a shiny golden World

What if you played Terraria but you were sonic the hedgehog? Moving at these speeds is not normal in this game and although there are some things that have become easier in this Terraria challenge there are still several things that become more difficult as I make my way to super sonic and collecting the chaos emeralds.
