If you can do interiors and design just put some barrels and random blocks up to look like junk. Maybe you can put some items you don’t use often up there too. Or if you want functional stuff, maybe some villagers, or a small item farm of some kind

Maybe a trading room, you take villagers with different jobs.
Lock them upp then you have a trading room, there are multiple ways to do it.

One time I turn a woodland mansion into my base and found an attic above my bed area so I turned it into a spot to put my armor stands, armor, item frames with my weapons etc

Put red carpet down, lanterns on the ceiling, a bed under the window, upsideown stairs on both sides of the bed with flower pots on them and chests beside them, add bookshelves on the sides and paintings or chests in the one block open areas

Barrels with scattered junk items.
Cobwebs literally all over the ceiling.
Item frames with items you used to use but didn’t have the heart to dump.
Chiseled bookshelves with a couple books inside.
Treasure maps that you already looted.

A bed maybe if you want to sleep in the attic.
Or a cat I think it would look good then.
