Can I beat Terraria’s Calamity Mod in HARDCORE? | Full Movie

Oh So as you can see in the title I tried to beat terrar Calamity mod in hardcore mode if you don’t know the Calamity mod is the biggest mod in Terraria and hardcore is basically if you die the playthrough is done if you want to beat

It you have to do it without dying let me set up a few rules first first off I can’t use another world to practice boss fights however I’ll add an exception to this rule later in the playthrough which I’ll expand upon more you’ll see second no save and exiting during boss fights

Recalling is allowed but saving and exiting is kind of cheaty I’m only allowed to save an exit if I don’t know some kind of glitch happens that causes me to mess up the fight that would never happen this video right oh yeah also please like comment and subscribe cuz I

Have a new goal of getting to 100K subscribers before September anyways let’s begin so I spawned in and I opened the Calamity starter bag if you’re wondering the Calamity mod gives your character a starter bag right off the bat and it includes things like potions starter weapons and more so it’s pretty useful

Also if you’re wondering I’m using the Calamity texture pack just because it looks cool then I enabled Death Mode if you’re wondering clamy adds two new modes revengeance mode and Death Mode which both add new changes to boss that make the game much harder and Death Mode

Is the harder one I decided to do this on Death Mode just cuz revengeance might be too easy I can’t wait to see how many comments I’ll get telling me to do this on infernum I chopped down some trees and I made myself a set of wooden armor

I usually never make wooden armor but we’re going to need all the defense we can get since we of course don’t want to die I went to the right and there was a desert I went to the left and yeah there was a crimson biome so now I just

Decided to go down I’m going to make sure to be very careful since early game looting is one of the hardest parts of Hardcore anything can kill me whether it be a random Dart trap that I couldn’t see a salamander anything at one point I found a mineard track but I didn’t find

Anything useful on that micro track I also ended up finding a cloud in a bottle and my first life Crystal then I eventually found my second life Crystal then I found a mushroom biome this was amazing since mushroom biomes contain so much good loot and I got so much Life

Crystals also I found a band of regeneration after getting to 220 health I recalled back home I didn’t want want to get tooo greedy but this is only my first attempt at this playthrough and I already feel like I’m doing good let’s see if this keeps up I decided to make

Some insta houses a quality of life feature added by the faros mutant mod oh yeah quick announcement on quality of life for this playthrough I’m going to try to use Quality of Life mods that just save time not affecting the risk of death for example using insta houses is

Allowed since it just saves time for me building houses but using an insta elevator is not allowed since there’s a risk of dying when I’m making my own elevator Anyways I set some chests up just for storage and I used rope to go to the sky why well in Calamity there’s always these structures called ploids which are in space they can contain some good loot but in the middle there’s always one gigantic ploid which can contain some

Nice loot so I looted the chests in that plantoid oh yeah check out this cool mod I have which Mak space look 10 times better that mod is called realistic Sky if you want to download it then I waited for daytime to explore the surface well

You see at some points of the surface there can be these unnatural looking pools of water if you see those there’s a 99% chance that there’s a Skyland above I don’t know why that happens but I always use this play for finding Skyland I found one and got a shiny red

Balloon which was pretty nice then I went to the left and after finding more unnatural pools of water I found another sky island with a star Fury this was what I was was looking for this is amazing I needed a good weapon and now I finally have one so we’re at less risk

Of dying I also crafted a pair of Herm boots if you didn’t know the clamity mod actually adds some recipes for vanilla items which is an awesome feature so using five swiftness potions and 10 silk you can craft a pair of Hermes boots with my new star fig in hand I went back

To the underground this time being a bit less careful than before since I actually have a good weapon I had a spelunker potion so I used it since I wanted to look for Life Crystals and ores this was an amazing looting trip cuz not only did I get lots of ores and

Life Crystals but I found lots of rubies and I’ll tell you why that’s useful later actually I’ll just tell you now using rubies I was able to actually Craft Life Crystals that’s right Calamity adds a crafting recipe for Life Crystals which uses up rubies healing potions and stone I also crafted myself

Some better armor now the eye of Cula has a chance of spawning naturally so I made a small Arena just to prepare I wanted to fight the I cthul as my first boss to get it over with and I was pretty confident I could take it on so I

Stopped playing and waited for the next day so I could start streaming and the next day I started up stream by the way I forgot to enable the Calamity texture pack for this stream uhoh it’s over it’s over no dude imagine if we die so yeah the IE was

Craft the blade of grass but I made sure to be super careful here so I don’t die since the jungle mobs can be very strong dude I’m not going to be looking at chat I have to be like extremely careful here I don’t want to die like I don’t want to

Done we’re done GG’s all right I was so scared that entire 10 minutes 15 minutes whatever so our risky trip to the underground jungle turned out successful I managed to not only craft myself a full set of golden armor but also a blade of grass which was amazing chat look at this

No all right sure I guess so what are 30 stack potions for the people who don’t know it basically adds a feature where if you have 30 of one potion in your inventory you get that buff permanently for example if I have 30 iron skin potions in my inventory I have the buff

Permanently we’ll be using this later anyways I crafted the Slime crown 3 2 1 go where did my star Fury go it accidentally trashed my star Fury dude there’s no way where’s my star Fury dude dude he has so much defense no let me back in my Arena this

Guy wants to keep me out of my Arena dude those stupid slimes dude those slimes are so annoying I think we made a mistake fighting this boss chat that Ruby might be a problem dude how many slimes I’m never using low-range weapons ever again rage

Yeah let’s go now how are you going to kill all these slimes dude you got to kill all of these slimes no oh my God wait hold on let me kill all these slimes first this is the real boss fight so that’s the King Slime defeated I was

Honestly getting scared that I’d die but after I collected myself it wasn’t that bad okay slimy s that’s going to be insane slime hook at least we finally have a hook now I made progress to making my magic storage system if you don’t know magic storage is simply a mod

That allows you to make storage that’s way more organized holds way more items and is overall easier to use right now it can only hold 40 items but later I’ll expand it I decided I was going to venture into the underground desert to hopefully get a desert Medallion though

I still needed to be careful since the underground desert could be a nuisance chat where do you think it is the left desert or the right desert chat I don’t think this is the right desert why is there dirt you you guys were all wrong to craft the desert

Medallion I needed a couple antline mandibles some sand and two stormline mandibles if you haven’t played Calamity before there’s a new enemy called the stormline in the desert which is basically just a buffed ant lion you get stormline MBL from them there it is yeah baby so I went to the crimson

And crafted the desert Medallion come on chat we got this hopefully wait I forgot I don’t even have an arena I don’t even have an arena I played the music I was ready to fight him and I don’t even have an arena dude what am I Thinking 3 2 1 go I smell freedom we are destroyed oing this guy dude whoa no no no no hook hook up oh please okay that’s one of them down heal both of them down all right we’re good we’re good I think we’re good damage dude yeah we’re good it’s

Over let me not get too ahead of myself here this is truly the boss of all time chat I was actually somewhat scared I’m just going to say this I was actually somewhat scared but I guess we’re I guess we I guess we’re good so that’s the desert Scourge down we’ve

Defeated the first three bosses and we’re doing pretty good let’s hope this keeps up we got the oil Freedom using the materials I got from the desert Scourge I was able to make a material called sea remains using those sea remains I made a set of victi armor it

Had less defense than gold armor but it still gave me more damage chat chat should I use Alchemist on PC for this play through or no all right I guess okay hold on let’s install alus MPC hold on I’m saving an exit it crashed there’s no way there’s

No way dude chat it crashed it crashed if you’re wondering I’ll NPC light is a mod that adds some NPCs that sell you potions instead of having to grind for them chat allowed me to use it for this run so if you don’t like these

Mods then wamp wamp I made a few more houses and I bought a spelunker potion from one of the NPCs then I Min for some iron because I wanted to make buckets using those buckets I can get buckets of lava and make a lava trap on the surface

I needed that lava trap so I could fight the Goblin Army I could probably beat it without the lava trap but I was not willing to risk it so anyways I got some lava and poured it into the Trap yeah I should test it by jumping into a pit you

Know I’m I’m not going to die right a farm for Casio no that’s too small for Casio the size of this entire world might just be barely enough for Casio I went to the Crimson so I could bomb some Crimson Hearts I’m not summoning that whatsoever

Dude I’m not I’m not going near that I am not going near that dude so I bombed the heart and slept till the Goblin Army spawned yeah dude the farm works yeah these Sorcerers are going to be annoying I’ll just get them with a star Fury once we beat the Go Army I’m

Instantly ending stream dude I don’t want to do this anymore we did it yeah Yeah yeah we did it so I ended stream for the day since I was getting TI TI but since I had nothing to do I decided to do some things off stream the first thing I had in mind was to expand my elevator so I used bombs to do just that I didn’t

Fully complete it but I still made some amazing progress on it but my next goal was to get a better weapon since I didn’t think the blade of grass was going to cut it for the next boss which was crabulon so I went to the sunken sea

If you haven’t played clamy before the sunken sea is a new bomb that’s under the underground desert and you can only access it after the desert Scourge but I mind in the sunken sea for a material called prism shards after getting enough prism shards I used them to craft the

Seash shine sword the seash shine sword is a sword that shoots a blue water projectile that deals some really nice damage I tested the weapon out against the King Slime and my God is it amazing the next thing I did was Farm the I of

Cthulu a lot the reason is I needed a lot of money to buy potions after doing that I went to the underground desert so I can mine for silver and iron using both of those I was able to craft more storage units to expand my magic storage

System so it has enough storage to hold 200 180 items instead of 40 I went back to the underground to find the goblin tinkerer reforges are absolutely amazing and we’re going to need every bit of help but for some reason it took me such

A long time to find him for no reason at all then I farmed more I of cthulu again this time it was to get enough money to reforge all of my items so after doing that I thought I was ready for the next boss I went to my nearest mushroom biome

And made a quick arena there after mining out a good enough Arena I went to the crimson and crafted the this summon item for the crabulon boss I don’t want to bother pronouncing the name of the item so I’ll just show a picture of it anyways I use that item to summon

Crabulon now if you didn’t know crabulon is one of the bosses that follows you to your spawn even if you recall so I was kind of scared since it’s Do or Die there’s no recalling but I’m happy to say that I think I overprepared a little too much cuz this fight was insanely

Easy and I remained at full HP for the entirety of the fight From the crabulon boss I got the mushroom plasma rout the mushroom plasma rout is a permanent power up that increases my rage by 1 second so it was of course something that I needed to use anyways guess what I did I I farmed more iulus yeah but at least this time it

Wasn’t for money after farming the eye lots of times I ended up getting the the teardrop Cleaver it’s a 10% chance from the ey of cthulu and it’s a true melee weapon that not only deals some amazing damage but it also debuffs and slows down enemies I wanted to use this weapon

Against the brain of cthulu before fighting the brain I made a small pylon system just so it helps me travel to other biomes faster after finishing the pylon system I spent time making an arena and the Crimson biome then I farmed Crimson enemies for vertebrae since I wanted to make the bloody spine

Eventually I crafted it then I finally summoned the brain of Gulu how hard was this well this was actually pretty easy in Death Mode the brain of cthulu’s creepers are way faster but since I reforged every single accessory I had toward warding and I had like 40 defense

I took little to no damage from the brain even when it got hit in the Final Phase where the brain starts rapidly dashing at the player at high speeds I was getting hit lots of times but still the teardrop Cleaver took care of the fight now I was feeling even more

Confident with the brain of confusion I didn’t know I’d get this far already on my first attempt of this playthrough let’s hope this keeps up I decided to start streaming again so more live reactions I wanted to go to the underworld so I needed to complete my

Elevator I needed to go to the underworld cuz I wanted to get a weapon called the blade Crest oath swword if you don’t know the blade Crest oath sword has a 4% chance to drop from demons in the Underworld and it’s a 6.67% chance if you’re in expert

Mode everything wants to kill me dude stupid stupid after I get molten armor and the blade Crest o sword I’m just going to kill the perforators $5 if you beat perforators true melee I probably can but I don’t want to risk it eventually I manag to make it to the underworld hopefully it

Won’t be too dangerous but before I try to farm demons for the blade cesto sword I wanted to mine hellstone for molten armor so I did that first we got to be careful here if something bad happens we we instantly recall think he’ll die by some random voodo demon dude there’s no

Way so I kept Mining and you know everything was fine I thought it’ be more dangerous here honestly hell we didn’t get a hell Forge Chat you make hellstone dude hellstone bars look so cool in this mod with my new set of molten armor I was ready to start farming demons wa that is a Voodoo Demon chat that is a Voodoo Demon hold on I’m leaving I’m leaving dude I’m not I’m

Some of the money I got from the eye and the last thing I did was go to the underground jungle to get jungle spores so I could craft the ankle of the wind yeah clamity also added a recipe for the ankle of the wind and it needs jungle

Then I went to the Crimson it was time to fight the next boss the perforators I just there it is I’ll kill with this go we do so much damage we do so much damage oh we don’t take much damage it’s always that we over prepare and then we just absolutely cook

Worm tooth giving me seven defense and 10% more melee damage so it was an accessory I just had to use this happened with crabulon as well I was scared so I absolutely like overprepared and then I destroyed him with like full health we’re going to do Queen B after

Skeletron for now let’s just focus on Skeletron I wanted to upgrade my setup so I first spent some time farming for the broken biome blade to craft a I needed materials like AAL light dirt blocks stone blocks and more if you’re wondering what the weapon does it allows

You to switch between five modes pure Clarity biting Embrace Aid Grandeur decay’s retort and grow tender’s touch I don’t want to bother explaining all of them so I’ll just say this the Arid grander was by far the best mode it had low range but its damage was absolutely

Monstrous you’ll see how monstrous it is once we do the next boss so then I spent a lot of time farming for the bundle of balloons I already had the cloud in a balloon but I needed to farm for the sandstorm in a balloon and blizzard in a

Balloon so I made my way to the dungeon it was finally time to fight Skeletron dude there’s so much enemies like I’m telling you the amount of enemies there are when I’m trying to build an arena is insane Terraria is a living sentient being all right chat

Know how like I genuinely don’t know how hopefully this keeps up my goal is to get to Moon Lord like that’s the that’s my goal dude so I just worked on mining out a space for the queen bee I felt like I didn’t need too big of a space

More off stream stuff here I bought the counter Scar from the cloth here which is a dash that allows me to also Dodge and attack when I Dash and that Dodge has a 30-second cool down it’s pretty much a better Shield of cthulu than I worked on Crafting the Terra spark boots

A lot of the items needed to craft the Terrace spk boots were craftable since clamity adds so much recipes so it didn’t take too long then I upgraded my magic storage system using crimpe storage upgrades so now the storage can hold a Max of 720 items after reforging

Some of my accessories I expanded my Arena since I was going to fight the next boss the slime God I went to a crimson and crafted the overload at sludge and I finally summoned the slam God they were really not that hard to deal with usually a big arena makes this

Boss insanely easy and with my broken bind blade that deals the damage of a hydrogen bomb well it was just easy one more boss till we can enter hard mode I got a lot of useful things from beating this boss the slime God dropped the electrolyte gel pack which

Permanently increased my adrenaline mode damage by 15% and damage reduction by 5% second this boss also dropped a material called purified gel using purified gel I was able to craft a set of stat gel armor I ended up having to farm the slime God again cuz I needed more

Purified gel this time to craft a weapon called the God’s Gambit which is a yo-yo that deals some significant damage also shooting streams of slime when an enemy is close to the yo-yo so I started on the underworld platform that I was going to use for the Wall of Flesh I wanted to

Make it as big as possible cuz even though I might not use it all for the fight it’s better to be safe than sorry before making more progress on the underworld platform I made a new weapon called the gelic blade which shoots waves of gel that do some good damage

Anyways I kept working on the platform for a long time and I finished it so I just went ahead and summoned the Wall of Flesh we can’t use recall potions here if we lose this fight we’re dead oh yeah it’s not the Wall of Flesh it’s the wall

Of fishron to be completely honest this fight was also easy I think the main reason these fights are so easy is because of me me overpreparing for every single fight since I don’t want to die but I can’t Complain I finished the fight with another 75% of my Arena left to spare so now we’re in hard mode we need to be extremely careful cuz early hard mod enemies can do a lot of damage potentially killing us I first went to the underground to go

M padium and Cobalt in Calamity The Ore progression is actually completely reworked instead of Palladium and Cobalt spawning when you destroy Alters they spawn right away once you defeat the Wall of Flesh to spawn Mythril and or Calcom you need to beat one of the mech bosses to spawn adamen and titanium you

Need to beat two of the Mec bosses so right now we can only get padium and Cobalt gear after mining for a while I went back home and made myself some Palladium armor the next thing I wanted to do was get a good weapon and my goal

Was to craft the costic edge I needed iore flasks so I farmed hard mode underground Crimson enemies for iore I realized that for some reason they weren’t doing much damage so I didn’t need to be too careful maybe it’s because I have like 90 defense I also

Needed to go to the sulfurous seab bom for a material called acid wood the sulfurous sea is a new Calamity biome that spawns in one of the oceans while I was going to the sulfurous sea I found the astral infection another new biome added by Calamity which spawns in the

Surface once the wall of flesh is defeated I got to sulfur SE and I got some acid wood also the first year of the acid rain happened and I realized I didn’t do that yet the acid rain was something I was supposed to do after the

Ey of cthulu so yeah anyways I crafted The cosic Edge it’s a sword that shoots a poisonous projectile that debuffs the enemy with poison and ior then I farmed more underground Crimson enemies for Souls of Knight why well I wanted to craft keys of Knight to farm Crimson

Mimics for the celestial Claymore the celestial Claymore is a melee weapon that’s dropped by any biome mimic with a 25% chance in expert mode but for some reason I had to farm so many Crimson mimics and I didn’t even get the weapon I just gave up and decided that the

Costic edge was good enough so so instead I decided I was going to farm for other things I farmed wyverns in space for Souls of Flight then I crafted the fairy wings also I made the berserker’s glove since it was a very good melee accessory giving lots of

Defense and melee speed then I spent some time making my Arena bigger since I was going to need a better arena for Hard Mode bosses so I started up stream again I was going to go grind for both Souls of light and Souls of Night to craft the mechanical skull I wanted to

Fight Skeletron Prime as my first boss in hard mode so I feel like I’m going to get nine Souls of Flight o oh oh no oh no chat oh no chat hey we got this chat we got this don’t worry don’t worry don’t worry don’t worry chat don’t worry

Chat we got this that was a complete accident yeah perforators oh no I’m not going near that I’m not going near that okay I’m not going near that dude what the what was that you have a mechanical skull in your inventory next to what the dude I want

To get a mechanical skull and and it just drops one instantly dude how you know what I’ll take it I slept till the next night and got ready to fight Skeletron Prime go let’s see how hard this is going to be hey we’re doing pretty good we heal

So much dude after we get rid of the arms this fight just becomes a cakewalk dude how are we dodging those go 23 damage whoa so much damage guys he does so much damage dude GG’s chat so since we’ve defeated our first Mech boss mythal and or Calcom

Spawned into our world so I went mining how many hours do you have in terrar and how much in team mod loader I think I have like 200 hours on Terraria and then like 2,000 on t- mod honestly I feel like this isn’t really too bad I just

Have to over prepare so much overpreparing usually does the job so after mining enough mithil I made some mithil armor the next thing I wanted to do was upgrade my counter scarf to the evasion scarf dude we’re going to have to get Souls of light that’s so annoying going

To have to go all the way to the hall and it’s easy to make a grilled cheese but honestly it’s pretty hard to make a perfect one like a very very good one dude imagine if we get a rod of Discord from this no Rod of Discord after

Getting enough Souls of light I recalled and made the evasion scarf then I crafted a mechanical eye since I was getting ready to summon the twins waa we already got hit this scary dude everyone’s saying it’s scary all right go okay counter scarf those wonders okay it’s this

Phase we use the rope no but they do no damage to us that laser does no damage to us Ren are down this phase with spasma doeses so much damage to me like I need to make sure I don’t get hit here oh don’t use the rope Skeletron

Don’t use the rope oh my God yeah I think even get lower than F Health so that’s the twins done only the Destroyer left till all of the mechs are defeated but before fighting the last MC boss I wanted to fight crowen first an early hard mode Calamity boss there was

A specific weapon I wanted to get from crowen which will absolutely melt the Destroyer but to summon crowen I needed the crow key to craft the crow key I needed a material called essence of helium which is dropped by hard mode snow biome enemies so I farmed in a snow

Biome I want to do a full movie on the Rog class but at the same time Adrian already did that do it anyways I don’t know dude I killed a penguin for no reason so I crafted the crow key before fighting the boss I made sure to build an actual

Arena watch him die dude it’s cryogen what’s the worst that could possibly happen CH yeah it’s going to be better to fight this boss at night cuz usually you can see you can see the projectiles better at night I finished building the arena so it was time to fight crowen

Basically just an upgraded post moonlord version of the Ark of the Ancients having the per feature and everything so I don’t need to explain much about it I farmed rain of cathal for money and I reforged everything in terms of my accessories I switched from warding reforges to menacing and lucky because

Defense is kind of less useful in post Moon Lord Calamity content so then I killed the Empress of light oh yeah I didn’t do the Empress of light earlier better late than never I guess but it was to get the Starlight to craft a weapon called the elemental shiv an

Amazing melee weapon that fires homing projectiles that can go through blocks and deal some really amazing damage now from here I I just decided to farm for a lot of accessories first off I got the celestial shell for some pretty solid Buffs then I crafted The daic Amulet

Since it can not only give me excellent regen but it also reduces my healing potion cool down then lastly I got the absorber the absorber does a lot of things I don’t want to have to explain it all so the gist of it is that it

Gives you a lot of defense and healing properties the absorber was by far the most annoying accessory to grind for since it had so many items in its recipe so then I spent a lot of time making a very very big arena the reason was post Moon Lord bosses in Calamity are

Absolutely insane and we’re going to need so much space if we want to beat them let alone in hardcore mode it took me quite a while but eventually I finished the arena so I waited till tomorrow so I could stream the next few bosses yeah I got a cold that day I of

Course got a cold but I really wanted to progress so I just did the next few bosses off stream so I went to the underground jungle and got prepared to summon the dragon folly now I know what you might be thinking Skeletron you just allowed yourself to practice boss fights

World to fight Providence this time for real and well yeah it was extremely easy even when I did sometimes take hits I didn’t take too much damage since I was pretty tanky cuz I’m melee I just remember this fight being way harder maybe my Calamity Z the seed experience

Really did do something to my skill So now with Providence down the next bosses to fight were the Sentinels of the Devourer I got the Rune of C which is what summons the Sentinels depending on where you are and also after Providence juli bloom or started spawning in the jungle I also got a nice

Pair of alion wings from this fight and a material called Divine geod which is used to craft many things the next day my cold was gone so I guess it’s time to start streaming again I crafted the morning star and upgrade to the Daybreak so wait what does this do I’ve never

Used this weapon before so it’s just a better day break basically the Morning Star is basically just a day break that deals more damage and fires off more Spears it dealt some really good damage so I wanted to use it Badge of Bravery so wait what do I need to craft this
