What Terraria can (and maybe should) be like!

Terraria has been out a long time now and so I thought, to try to put a spring back in my step, I’d try creating a mini Terraria mod pack in tModLoader (which I’ve called “Better Terraria”) which consists of mods that only enhance the default Vanilla game, from better visuals to various quality of life improvements and more! Hope you enjoy!

    rotating player model looks goofy as all hell, and ore miner makes mining ores too trivial imo, but other than that, a lot of these mods are cool

    I love mod showcases, so I'm really interested to see what else you'll show off!

    The graphics mods are quite nice, especially the torches and the smooth lighting! The character tilt when you run doesn't look very good to me, but I do like the head turning to look at the cursor. That's a fun little feature! 😀 The game generally does look better and feel more immersive when it's zoomed-in, so I think that's a big contributor as well.

    Don't you normally have to have the bed in a house to sleep/set spawn in Terraria? That's an element of challenge that I prefer, honestly. Just slapping a bed down in the open to sleep like it's Minecraft is a little cheesy for me. I love the incentive to build. Vein miner's also a bit much for me, personally. That's what bombs are for! (I do wish there was a way to upgrade how much ore a pick takes out at once, like the shovel does for dirt, though.)

    I will say, I'm not a big fan of when mods/modpacks call themselves "Better (whatever)" tbh. Not only might someone not agree with your preferences, it's not very descriptive about how the mods improve the game. (Though now that I say that, "Python's Preferences" has a nice ring to it.)
