I hope you enjoy today's video talking about my ideas to start a minecraft world!! What questions do you have for me related to playing minecraft?
Thanks for the recent videos. My forever world is about 4 years old but I stopped working on it for a minute. Your videos recently encouraged me to return and I’ve had so much fun continuing with it again
One realisation I got from Pix, Fwhip and Gem is that the best way to keep a forever world is to pack up your stuff and move whenever you feel the urge to start a new world. Start a "new world" inside the same world
My forever world is a bit different. i am going to start over in every single biome with nothing. minus the end and the nether. i will keep all of my arear 1000 blocks apart from each other but will build a train depot that connects all of them. each biome will have a train cart station so all you have to do is open the chest/barrel and grab a cart and off you gooooo. currently i am on a deserted island in the middle of a massive ocean. i will have to build bridges in every direction to get to my new biomes. i will not be able to bring ANYTHING with me to truly start over in the new biome. starting from scratch makes me happy and miss what i had. so i work that much harder. my next biome is the plains. i will rebuild my old ranch house out of birch that i had on a friends old realm. they lost interest and i lost all of that stuff. but i know how to rebuild it all. the house itself is 100 blocks from front to back. 200 blocks from side to side and 40 blocks tall. massive amounts of storage. across the road was my stockyard. with cows. pigs chickens and sheep. 1200 of each animal. we had to trim down as 1000 of each animal made the server/realm L A G. A lot. i am looking forward to building that ranch again. ah the memories. i had an enclosed 300X300 fishing pond out back. i am not sure if i will build THAT again. thank you for the video @fWhip. your world tour should be enough to inspire anyone to get into the build. have a great day everyone.
In 2018 I started vanilla minecraft again and that world is still the world I'm playing in from time to time. What I've build another person could have done it in a couple of months or even faster, but hey, it's how I play it. It's been a year I made a video about it. If I make another one there is stuff I can show to people.
I have unintentionally started a forever world recently. I’ve always just quit because I got bored before I was even fully in the end game, but this time I built a starter house, and now a whole village, and I’m in the process of adding trees. I’m fully invested in this world now, and don’t think I’ll quit anytime soon. But it’s still only a few hundred days in so I guess we’ll see
As a bedrock player, ive recently started exploring addons. Is it worth having addons like farming pots on a forever world to help reduce the grind for some resources?
Fwhip I’m telling you right now you do not play slow, I take 4+ months of constant playing to get dimond armor because all I wanna do is build
I think the one thing you didn't really cover well is IF you should have or start a forever world. I love my old worlds and projects and it's nice to be in the end game, but i don't actually have a reason or desire to have a forever world. And there's nothing wrong with that. If you want a forever world (for any reason), then this is a great video! If not, is still a great video, but don't take this as something you should do. Use this as inspiration and general advice.
Anyway, thanks for sharing!!!
Because of your hardcore series, I've started what I HOPE will become my 'forever world'! I've been taking your tips into account and am slowly, but surely, making a world that I think is really cool! 🩷 Thank you fWhip!
I really enjoyed this video, there were some really good things to keep in mind when playing in my own world. I'm 1200 days or so into my world and have been feeling like I haven't done much. But I need to keep in mind to have fun while playing the game. I've done the central storage unit before, so I'm take a leaf out of your tree and spreading some of the storage out. Making a lumber yard for the storing the wood and my windmill stores some of my plants for now. I have stories in mind for the things I want to build and it's going to take time, but hey, that's why its a forever world right?
Thanks for the video fWhip!
much love fwhip
This is such a great video! I'm currently playing in my forever world and watching through the entirety of Empires SMP 1. I make sure to not rush (day 141 and I don't even have a nether portal yet), but it all gives me so much inspiration for lore! Same goes for this video, I can't wait to flesh out my world more. I've only had it for a couple months now, but I feel like it's a new record for me :,D
this dude builds so good
As someone who’s had one of these so called ‘forever worlds’ for several years now, a big point that I feel was missed in this video is that you shouldn’t be afraid to take breaks. Most of us don’t play Minecraft for a living, and so it’s unrealistic to expect that you should have the time to continue playing on one world, let alone without getting bored. Just, when you can and want to come back to Minecraft, try and resist the urge to start a new world, and instead load up the old one.
I personally find it much more gratifying to still see and make use out of builds that I’ve made months or even years ago, and it’s comforting to me to remember what chapter of my life I was in when I made them. That, to me, is the true strength of a long-term world. As the scenery and faces around me inevitably change, I can always come back my world, and just feel.
Something I just thought of : do backups (unless you don't like it for xyz reasons).
I used to have a huge world when I started playing MC, and it was becoming laggy on my old computer so I kinda put it aside for a while and kept a backup for it. Now I've picked it back with a better PC and I was glad all those years of work were still accessible, and I can now continue expanding on that world and reworking certain things (improved Nether hub goes brrrrr).
I would love to do a forever world but i never get a good seed
I've tried to start a forever world several times but they always end up abandoned. I like to play with my close friends but they all just like that first week of getting started and building a starter house, then they just get bored lol. To me, the most fun part is the end game where I can focus on building different creations with lore and not having to spend hours grinding for materials.
I start my Forever world Almost a year ago I can Honestly so you have helped me keep this world I have hit 2,000 days in my world and just getting Started…. seeing your world has Inspire me to keep going and do crazy stuff just like you
Thank you, fWhip. I don't think you realize just how inspirational you are.
PS: I've been listening to the Lord of the Rings while playing and have just finished it. Are there any books you would recommend?
