Fun fact- Ghats have gills! Meaning they’re underwater creatures, and aren’t in their right habitat! Thats why on the default nether ghast skin, you can see dried up tears from the pain it’s going through to be stuck there. Really makes you feel bad for killing those poor creatures who were only in their not fitting habitat, right?
My conspiracy theory. Ghast is actually a water animal why? Because if we want to awaken a happy ghast we have to use water and, they are all moved to the nether and the bones in Nether is actually the bone of a ghast that died from drought and the small ghast next to it is actually the child of the ghast and the mother of the small ghast uses her tears to make the small ghast
