DON’T Ruin Your Farm By Doing This…

ever wonder what not to do in St Valley well I’ve made all the mistakes so you don’t have to in this video I’m sharing 30 game-changing errors I made that nearly ruined my farm let’s dive in one of the biggest mistakes you can make early in the game is not upgrading your tools don’t be a fool and wait too long to upgrade them you need better tools to manage larger Farms break rocks and gather materials more effectively do not let that Rusty watering can hold you back for too long in the early game focus on building the foundations of your farm avoid spending money on fancy decorations or larger inventories these things do not help your farm grow instead invest in essential upgrades seeds tools and farm boardings rapidly allow you to snowball and let you thrive trust me you’re going to regret it if you don’t Bard a silo early you’ll need hay for your animals during winter and when it rains so make sure you get one up and running as soon as possible the sooner you have it the more hair you can stockpile before the cold sets in this is no surprise but crops with regrowth like blueberries and cranberries are gamechanging they will regrow allowing you multiple Harvest per season instead of being forced to replant your crops all the time which makes them a great way to ensure a steady income while pumpkins melons and cauliflowers sell for more their seeds need to be repurchased after every Harvest if you’re not thinking about getting animals early on you’re missing out Barns and cops are important because they give you a consistent source of income from products like milk eggs and wool Additionally you need these items for the community center anyway make it a priority to get a duck a rabbit and a pig as early into your playthrough as you can ensuring that you finish the community center in your first year you might be focusing on planting as many crops as possible but speed grow is crucial for boosting crop yield especially for regrow crops like strawberries blueberries and cranberries speed grow will let your crops reach maturity quicker thus giving you an extra Harvest first in a season buy them from Sandy on Thursdays for a massive discount do not support Pierre if you do not subscribe right now your crops will die and Pierre will increase his prices do the smart thing you cannot ignore the season specific crops or fish or fbls keep track of what you need for each season by constantly looking at the community center tab which you can access by clicking this button in your inventory and do not forget that if you hover over an item it will show you if something is required or not building relationships with villagers is crucial but many players overlook this don’t just stick to farming make time to socialize with villagers like George and Pam George will teach you how to make spicy eel and Pam will send you batteries in the mail these odd friendships have their perks and if you are planning on marrying someone might as well get to know them early in your playthrough the special order board will unlock on the very first day of fallow every Monday you will get to pick between two quests these quests have incredible recipes as rewards such as Monster musk an item that I literally cannot live without additionally they will reward you with prize tickets that you can use to get stardrop tea and even a magic rock candy make it a priority to do these quests every single week as soon as they are unlocked never sell anything you get in the minds iron ore bat wing solar Essence all of these items sell for gosh Dar nothing you will need them every single last piece of O even if you have no use for them now save them for later trust me farming for gold when you have over 100 iridium bars is just so frustrating fishing is incredible for making huge amounts of money in the early game however I recommend that you do not overdo it yes you’ll make good money but fishing is very timec consuming I recommend diving into the mines and collecting as many raw resources as you can it is much more beneficial to get tons of sprinklers early so that you do not need to worry about watering crops every single day set your War up for Success early if you are brand new to the game go to all the festivals if you are not skip them all except for your favorite ones going to a festival means that you will lose the entire day a day that could be spent mining fishing or just cleaning up your farm time is money friend if you have 50 quality sprinklers you might think to yourself wow I can farm so many crops wrong listen you need 10 million gold to craft a golden clock if you want to get the clock in a timely manner the only thing you can can do is plant absolute Acres of crops good luck watering all of those get Sprinklers and eventually you will unlock Ginger Island yeah you need sprinklers there as well get more sprinklers you will never have too many this is so obvious yet I make this mistake daily are you planning on fishing the entire day or heading into the skull Cavern yeah then why the heck is your entire inventory filled with junk only bring the absolute Essentials on your adventure bring a fishing rod some food and nothing else or bring your weapon a pickaxe and some food and nothing else plan ahead okay winter sucks winter is the season of dread and despair prepare for your Winters how ensure that you have unlocked access to Ginger Island before the first winter hits if you can’t at least ensure that you have a greenhouse before your first winter it’s not that hard best of luck fortunately this is slightly better in this update if you plant a fruit tree and need to move it you kind of need to chop it down and replant it you won’t lose the fruit tree anymore thanks to this update however you might lose the fruit it would have produced for That season or at least only replant them in Winter there are achievements for planting and selling every crop in the game however that’s where it ends do not grow every crop just to be Diversified prioritize the max profit crops to ensure that you make the money you deserve fruit trees kind of suck I know they really do even the best fruit tree like the banana tree pales in comparison to some of the even mediocre crops in the game however we still need to plant them early in our playthrough to complete the community center or you can risk it with the fruit bat cave I guess it might not seem like upgrading your house is that important but it is having a fully upgraded house gives you a couple things first you get tons of space to either decorate or full worth processing machines second you get a kitchen with a fridge that you can use to cook buffing Foods Third and most importantly you gain access to the basement which allows you to age wine and cheese to absolutely milk your profits this skull Cav plays a crucial role in sty Valley you need to conquer it to get iridium or idium ore will allow you to gain access to Ginger Island craft idium bands idium Sprinklers and even crystarium I know it’s scary there overcome your fears by absolutely dominating it the monster eradication quests are insane in the early game it might sound tedious but go and defeat 80 bugs and get the insect head weapon this thing will carry you through the rest of the mines with ease additionally defeat 500 dusk RS and when you defeat 500 of these buggers you will get a burglar ring a crucially important ring that will make your life easier for the rest of the game when you upgrade a tool Clint will take it from you leaving you with nothing this means you will be unable to water your crops so check the TV every day and if it will rain tomorrow water your crops and then give it to him to upgrade this way you won’t miss a day of watering this is no secret happy animals will produce higher quality produce which will make you better Artisan Goods which will make you more money for example when processing large milk you’ll get gold Quality Cheese now that will save you in the skull Cavin when the serpents are coming for your head plus it sells for more so feed your animals and pet them daily do not miss a day this sounds dumb however flowers have a secret a secret you already knew bee houses around a flower will make you flower honey flower honey is essential ‘s regular raw honey is kind of absolutely garbage plant flowers with speed grow on the very first day of every season without fail you won’t regret it I am so guilty of this one it actually sickens me you need 200 hardwood to unlock access to Ginger Island you need 100 hardwood to build a house for this raccoon guy and you need 100 hardwood to upgrade your house that’s a lot of hardwood fortunately you can get 12 hardwood every single day for free by just going to the secret Woods it’s not that hard make a a priority checking the traveling Merchant every single Friday and Sunday is crucial to your playthrough do not forget to do this you need to buy every rare seed that you come across this will allow you to get a star drop and they will make you rich during fallow buying rare seeds is a delayed reward and yeah you need purple cabbage for the community center as well so visit the traveling Merchant twice a week without fail this new update has made fish ponds kind of incredible now that we can drop legendary fish into them we kind of need to prioritize getting fish fish ponds early drop a crimson fish the angler the mutant carp and the glacier fish into a fish pond to guarantee good early game money even without golden animal crackers they are not bad at all the game has a clock and when the clock strikes 2: a.m. you will pass out and wake up with half of your energy this is true however if you leveled up a skill during the day then this penalty will not occur meaning if you leveled up mining while you are mining you might as well continue to mine until 2: a.m. the extra bit of time could could help you get another elevator floor warp totems exist they might seem annoying to craft however the convenience they will give you is just absolutely worth it it is definitely worth it to go to the casino spin a little and trade in all of your coins for Farm warp totems trust me it is much cheaper than the silly return scepter for 2 million gold bruh what kind of person does not prioritize the museum I know it’s a lot of work fortunately you need not try and collect everything as quickly as possible just at least donate the items this will give you access to the Sewer in other words access to kobus the easiest source of rum sprinklers in the game that was 30 stard Valley mistakes but if you really want to master stard de Valley you need to watch this video with 35 Secrets 99% of players do not know 1. I can't be assed to visit the secret woods every day, so I start planting mahogany trees early. Leave them to grow and throw seeds unchecked, and then harvest them and use their seeds for an even bigger forest once the train station opens.

  2. For early game inventory I just carry a chest to the mines or a fishing spot
So I don't have to stop what I'm doing 😊
Plus I can smell ore while mining too which helps

  3. Larger backpack inventory is absolutely worth the early investments. I both as soon as I can and I'm never sorry. But I can hardly stand to leave even a soggy newspaper behind.

  4. Speaking of mistakes doing the community centre route is a mistake if you want things done quickly. You cannot finish the community centre until a least day 1 of winter where as through joja you can be done in summer meaning earlier access to the desert for the star fruit seeds that really kick off your farming empire. I think your recommendations are not very good to be honest at least if you are trying to make money and money makes everything else you want to do go much faster. You don't need animals, you don't need tool upgrades as you can use sprinklers and regrowing crops so you don't need more seeds and the initial hoeing for planting with regrowing crops will, maybe you'd want an upgraded pickaxe and axe to get rid of the stones and trees but the water can no way. As for making friends with the villagers I think it's a good idea to focus on 1 or 2 villagers at once specifically go to the wiki find the ones who have the best relationship gifts and make friends with them. Anything that can help you make money will help down the line what you are really looking for for maximum profit is ancient fruit then crystalariums and if you can't be doing with the grind of finding an ancient seed with luck then maybe the star fruits first. My farm is mostly sheds filled with crystalariums.

  5. 4:00 The problem with festivals is that it's hard to avoid them if you don't want to participate. Even if you can avoid triggering them, any shops or villages you may need will likely be unavailable for that day anyway. On the plus side most of them are beneficial to do the first couple times, so it's not a complete waste.

  6. Speed Grow can cost more than you earn from the extra harvest on most crops. And many of the single-harvest crops are more profitable even counting the cost of seeds to replant. Star Fruit particularly is the best for wine. Yes, Ancient Fruit doesn't require re-planting, but the time it takes for its profits to pull ahead is way too long. Longer than most people run their farms.

  7. I like going to MOST festivals regardless just for fun mostly. Im a patient dude so I can wait one more day or so to get extra money.

  8. ur videos r SO GOOD, i rlly enjoy the way u do everything, all the details, the way u decorate ur farm to explain everything, is a very good work! also i love the way u talk and ur accent, ur funny too and makes everything better. i just wanted to say that lol thank u for doing this!!

  9. If you get foraging to level 10, which you ought to do anyway given how much wood you will need for kegs, jars, beehives, buildings etc, then you can choose the upgrade that will activate random drop chance for hardwood when cutting down normal trees. Just have a tree farm or two for obscene amounts of wood, and you will get all the hardwood you could want even without going to the secret woods all the time.

  10. No, you need that inventory space. I have mods which greatly expand it via both larger knapsacks and bags for each category that go into a larger Omni Bag which holds them all and a general rucksack and I still run out of space in the main inventory. The Item Bags mod is a godsend.

  11. This is pretty much the opposite of Fields of Mistria where they recommend the bigger backpack almost immediately because most of your time is used doing things other than farming considering the high cost of seeds. However, I agree that you should use any money you have for seeds first because it will make it easier to complete bundles faster and afford the upgrades like the backpack much easier too. You do want to save as much as possible for strawberry seeds for Year 2 so you can plant them on the first day of Spring.

Of course I haven't played since 1.4 actually so the strategies have definitely changed, but that was how I got max candles at Grandpa's evaluation the very first time he appeared on that file.

  12. I like to get festivals over with early so I don't have to remember to do them for completionism later. I missed the first Flower Dance this playthrough because I only go for the rarecrow, which just costs a lot for early game, but now I have to spend all year remembering to go. The other festivals are good money for non-expert players.

  13. Once Ginger Island is unlocked I recommend moving ALL of your fruit trees (not including greenhouse ones) there. There's tons of plantable land for trees outisde of the farmable space, particularly lining the beaches. You can fit quite a lot of trees there, and they produce year-round.

  14. grass doesn't break on winter any more… also, inventory is very important 🙂 animals are not so important, but tbh i pretty much always go with joja route. also, unless you want something specific from a villager, like marriage, recipe or item, i would say keep relationships for later. fishing is better, you are better off watering crops and eating some of the fish for energy than wasting too much time, definitly in the early game. once you got the max inventory i would say you could just have all your tools + food on you at all times, it rarely really matters. fruit trees are never worth it, other than decorating. i would say fairy rose honey is pretty much the only one that is kinda worth it. i don't think rare seeds are worth it, as first year you wont have enough money for a lot of these, so just a couple should be enough, then seed maker them. that is all i could catch while watching, but i assume i missed some whilst typing

  15. You need to befriend Lewis he sends 500 hundred gold in the mail all the time but I forgot what heart you have to get to for him to do it but is is so worth it

  16. You can't leave the farm otherwise your pigs will not find truffles, even if you stay in your home or the greenhouse they still won't find them 🙄😮
