1000 Creakings vs. Security in Minecraft

Looks like it’s another nice day out. GJ, this is bad. We’ve got trouble. What’s wrong, Mikey? A creepy forest appeared right in front of our house. A forest appeared? What do you mean? Come look. Okay, then. This way. Over here. Some kind of weird forest appeared. Wo! There was definitely grassland here, but now it’s a gray forest. Even the ground has turned gray. The trees look different, too. That’s right, Mikey. I think this is a pale garden. A pale garden? What’s that? Well, I’ve only heard rumors about it, but they say when night falls in this forest, wood creatures known as creings appear and attack people. Seriously, wood monsters? How super scary would it be if they attacked? KJ, what are we going to do? Well, let’s do our best to set up a security system here before it gets dark. We have to build one capable of keeping the creings away from our house. That sounds good. If we can keep them away from our house, then we have nothing to worry about. Okay, we don’t have much time before the sun sets, so let’s build it quickly. Okay. What kind of security are we building? Well, creings are tree monsters, so first I’d like to set up several security measures that do fire damage. Oh, I see. That makes sense. Trees are no match for fire. So, we can take the creaking down by using fire attacks. Yep. So, I think we’ll start by laying out some magma blocks. I think we can keep the creaking away from our house by using these magma blocks to do fire damage. Oh, yeah. That’ll work. Great. Now, as you can see, we’ve set up a wide layer of magma blocks. It’s perfect. And now right around the middle, I’ll place some obsidian. What’s that for? Then I’ll also place some slime blocks along here. Uh-huh. And finish it off with some buttons. What will they do? You’ll see soon enough. Huh. I’ll set up the same thing on the other side, too. Okay. And now I guess I’ll leave these slime blocks hanging in the air over here. Mhm. And with that, our magma block security system is complete. Oh, what’s all this? These are slime jumpers that we can use when we want to get across the magma blocks. Just push a button like this and we can get across without touching the magma. Wo! No kidding. This is amazing, JJ. With all this in place, those creings will burn up before they get anywhere near our house, and we can still get across. Well, I still don’t think we’re totally safe with just this. Huh? We should build more security measures just in case. I guess. What security measure should we build next? H. Well, I think we should build an arrow security measure. We can attack the creaking with lots of arrows. Oh, okay. All right, Mikey. I think we should set up our security arrows right around here. So, to do that, I’ll place some dispensers up here. Uh-huh. And then I’ll fill them up with lots of arrows. H. [Music] After that, I’ll place a layer of netherrack right along here. Huh? What’s that? And then I’ll light it all on fire. Fire. Now we’ll make a redstone circuit back here. Uh-huh. I’ll place the redstone dust along here. Okay, our security arrows are now complete. Wo! Now all we have to do is flip this lever to launch the arrows. Let’s test it out. 3 2 1 fire. That’s amazing. They’re launching flaming arrows. Actually, the arrows are being shot through the flames in front of them, which add fire damage. Wo! They’re really powerful. That’s incredible. With these fire arrows here, those creakings won’t stand a chance. Still, a large enough swarm of creaking could still get through. So, we should build more security measures. We’re building more security. You’re such a worry ward, JJ. But fine. What are we building next? Well, Mikey, since we’ll be likely facing an incredibly huge swarm of creaking, some of them may actually get past our magma blocks and our security arrows. So, we’ll need a security measure that guarantees those remaining creings get burned to a crisp. Well, I guess these two security measures are a bit lowend for us, huh? The next security measure will be more high level, right? What are we making? Well, next let’s keep the creaking from reaching our house too easily by building a difficult maze. A maze? Sure. Let’s do it. Well, then let’s get started. I suppose the entrance can go around here. Yeah, that’s a good spot. Let’s start the maze here and make it really complicated. Let’s make several paths to make sure the creaking get lost. Oh, okay. I guess we’ve sectioned it off pretty well. Next up, let’s give it some height. Oh, okay. I can help with that. Thanks, Mikey. Yeah, I’ve got this. That looks good. It’s the perfect maze. They’ll definitely get lost in here. Now, let’s add a security measure to the maze by making it so that we can open and close its exit. I’ll start by setting these up over here. And then I’ll make a redstone circuit on [Music] top. And I’ll finish it off by adding a lever [Music] here. The exit is ready. Wo! This way when we need to run away from the creaking. We can trap them inside with this exit. So that’s how we’ll get away from them. Now let’s add a security measure so that we can close the entrance, too. Okay, let’s put it higher up so we have a good view of the entrance. Oh, that makes sense. Okay, now we’ll put a lever right here. And the maze is all set. Oh, we’ll enter the maze here. And then we’ll head towards the exit. And then once we arrive at the exit, we have this secret door right here. So, I’ll flip this lever and trap the creings inside. If I do that, they won’t be able to get out through here. Next up, we’ll head up to the high platform and flip the lever on the left. That closes the entrance. Now, the entrance and the exit are both sealed off. Oh. So, we’re going to lure all the creaking into the maze and trap them inside, right? Mhm. But we can’t defeat the creings just by trapping them. Well, that’s why the next thing we’ll do is pull a lever on the right. And if we do that, huh, the entire maze will fill up with lava. Wow, it’s really all full of lava. Yeah. So, the plan here will be to trap the creaking in the maze and then attack them with the lava. This is amazing. We’ll burn all the creaking up with lava so none of them can get away. Now, we’ll definitely be safe. Our security system is all finished. No, we should still build two more. Why? We can’t ignore the possibility that creaking might be resistant to fire. So, we’ll need to target a different tree weakness with an icebased security measure. An icebased security measure. Oh, because trees wither when it’s too cold. That’s why ice is their weakness. That’s right. All right, let’s set up our icebased security measure. H. But how should we do this? Oh, I’ve got it. Let’s use powder snow and ice to make a tower type pitfall trap security measure. Let’s get started. Sounds good. The first thing we’ll do is place blocks of ice here like this. Uhhuh. And then we’ll just keep building upward like this. Okay. Just place blocks of ice. Right. That’s right. Looks like our ice tower is all set. Wo, what a tall tower. Now, the next thing we’ll do is build a water elevator so we can easily climb up to the top of the tower. Ooh. I’ll start by placing some soul sand right here. And then some signs here. Next, I’ll fill this with water all the way to the top. [Music] H. That’s pretty good. Next, we’ll completely fill the inside of the tower with blocks of powder snow. Powder snow. Okay, I’ll help, too. Thanks, Mikey. No [Music] problem. H. Now, our powder snow pitfall trap is complete. Wo! So, now let’s ride the water elevator. Wo! It zips us all the way to the top. Mhm. This top area is our powder snow pitfall trap zone. And when you try to walk across powder snow, you start sinking into it just like this. This is how we’ll trap the creings. Wow, that’s amazing. It’s so cold in here. This will definitely freeze the creaking. Mhm. But JJ, won’t we end up sinking into the powder snow, too? Not a problem because we’ll have these h leather boots to put on. Leather boots. Mhm. If you put your leather boots on, you’ll be able to walk across the same powder snow that you just sank into before. You’re right. That’s a relief. So, we’ll be the only ones who can walk on top of the powder snow while the creaking will sink right into it. Mhm. The two of us will lure the creings over and trap them in the powder snow. Yeah. So, now that we got our firebased security measures and an icebased security measure, are we all done? Not yet. Just in case they get past all of this, let’s make one final ultimate security measure. Don’t we have enough? You can’t underestimate creaking. After all, they’re mysterious wood monsters. So, let’s be thorough and build an ultimate security measure. Well, if you insist, JJ, then fine. I’ll support you. Thanks, Mikey. Well, let’s go build it. First, I’ll place some slime blocks here for us to land on. Good idea. Mhm. Now, what I’d like for us to do is use TNT to build a self-destruct security measure. We’ll lure the creaking into our house, and there we’ll blast them to bits. That’s a good plan. TNT attacks are so powerful that they can destroy anything. So, it won’t even matter what the creaking’s weaknesses are. But I still think that our previous security measures will be enough and we won’t even need to use this. Well, I hope so. Let’s set up lots of TNT inside our house. Okay. Okay. I guess this is good enough. This much TNT should be enough to cause a huge explosion. That’s some serious firepower. Are we done now? Not yet, Mikey. As it stands, we’ll get caught in the explosion, too. So, we’ll need to build a shelter for us to hide in. Oh, of course. Let’s build it. All right. After leading the creaking here, we’ll need somewhere to escape to. So, I’ll put up a ladder for us to climb to safety. We’ll climb all the way up here to the top of the TNT. Next, we’ll make an obsidian shelter behind the TNT to protect us from the explosion. Yeah, obsidian should be strong enough to withstand the TNT explosion. [Music] All right, our obsidian shelter is now complete. Sweet. It looks tough. Next up, I’ll put up some walls along here to keep the creings from trying to get inside. Oh, yeah. Okay. I’m also putting up some target blocks over here. And with that, our ultimate TNT security measure is complete. Whoa. So, if we end up having to use it, we’ll lure the creings into our house. Sure. And then get safely a top the TNT. M. Then you and I will shoot arrows at those target blocks down there. Okay. [Music] Hello. That will close the doors, trapping the creakings inside. Oh, and then we’ll flee to the shelter in the back. Then finally, we’ll set off the TNT and seal up the entrance with obsidian. That’s amazing. With such powerful security measure, we won’t have to worry about the creaking anymore. They’ll definitely be no match for this. Now, we just have to wait until night for the creaking to show up. Okay. [Music] H. It looks like the sun is about to set, but the pale garden still looks the same. Nothing’s happened yet. KJ, do you really think that the creings are going to show up? Hold up, Mikey. There they are. Oh, those are the creings. Huh? But they’re standing completely still. Huh? Oh, you’re right. They’re not moving at all. What’s that about? Well, they’re not scary at all if they aren’t even attacking us. So, we build all those security measures for nothing. I guess so. But why aren’t they moving, though? H the Mikey, I think the creaking just got a little closer to us. Huh? Maybe you just imagined it. Anyway, let’s go home and relax. I’m getting hungry. Let’s go home. I’m pretty sure they got closer to us, though. Come on. Of course they didn’t. Huh? Huh? What? The creaking really are getting closer. Huh? You’re right. But when do they move? I didn’t see anything. Huh? Maybe the creaking can only move when we’re not looking at them. Mikey, we need to cross the magma before they get any closer. Okay. Okay. Let’s use the slime jumper. All right. Hurry. Yes. Okay. Let’s see. Huh? They’re already this close. No way. They’re standing on the magma blocks. Who? So, if we keep watching them, won’t they take damage from the magma blocks? Uh, hold up. I don’t think they’re taking any damage at all. Something’s weird. You’re right, JJ. Why? I know. Let’s attack them with our flaming arrows. Those will definitely take them down. Okay, let’s head to the security arrows. Okay, where are the creakingies? Huh? Who? They’re right in front of our security arrows. All right, in that case, I’ll activate the security measure. Take them down. Activate. Yes. Go, go, go. Get them. Eat our flaming arrows. Is it working? Fire burns wood, so these flaming arrows will definitely take them down. All right, take that. Huh? Huh? The lava will definitely take out the creaking. All right. Uh, hold on. The creings are just floating on top. Does that mean the lava isn’t working? Are you kidding me? Maybe the creings are flame resistant. It’s strange. These attacks aren’t working. Huh? And they’re even escaping from the lava. It’s gone out. Our only choice is to defeat them with our ice security. Right. Come on. Let’s head over there. Something’s definitely strange about this. They’re coming quickly. GJ. All right, we’re at the top. JJ, put your leather boots on. Oh, right. Let’s lure the creings into the powder snow pitball trap. We’ll wait over here. Okay. Are they coming? I think they’re following us. Here they come. Okay, I’ll lure them over. All right, the creaking are sinking into the powder snow. Yeah, they’re sinking. Just a few more. They’re all in. Yes. Sweet. Our plan worked perfectly. Well, to be sure, let’s go check inside the pit. Good idea. I bet they’ve all completely frozen inside the powder snow. H. I hope so. Okay, let’s head down. Woohoo. All right. All right, let’s take a look. Are they all frozen? Huh? GJ, look. H. They’ve dropped all the way to the bottom. You’re right. Do you think they’re all frozen? H. Wa. Looks like we’re safe now that they’re trapped in there. It turns out they really can’t withstand the cold. I hope so. I bet they’re all going to freeze in there. All right. Hold up. Huh? That’s not good. They’re trying to break out. No way. What do we do now? Oh, we’ll have to use our ultimate security measure. I’m starting to wonder if it’s even possible to defeat them. All we have to do now is activate the self-destruct security measure and hide inside the shelter. Then we’ll definitely take him out. I hope so. Let’s activate the TNT. Okay, on my mark. I get the feeling no attacks will work on them. How is that even possible? Does that mean that they’re invincible? Then we can’t do anything to stop them from getting us. Don’t give up just yet. Let’s search the internet for info on them. Huh? I’ll just do a quick search on my smartphone. Yeah, look it up. H What do we have here? Huh? It looks like the only way to defeat the creaking is to enter the pale garden forest, find the creaking heart, and destroy it. The creaking heart? All other attacks are ineffective. No way. So, does that mean everything else we’ve done has been pointless? Mhm. Creaking are ghost monsters, so the only thing that will work is attacking their creaking hearts. I knew something was off when the magma security didn’t work. I see. In that case, let’s head to the pale garden and destroy the creaking heart. Got it. But can we really defeat them? I’m not sure, but we have to try. Let’s be careful. All right, let’s make it so they can’t follow us. We’ll be fine if we watch them. That’s right. Okay. Wait, they’re coming. This is really scary, JJ. Get ready to run, Mikey. Okay, now hurry. They’re chasing us. We got to hurry so they can’t catch up to us. We made it to the forest. Now, let’s search for the creaking heart. H. Is it real, though? I’m starting to think the creaking can’t be defeated. Well, destroying the creaking heart is supposed to be the only way. So, let’s find it. This forest is so big. We’re pretty deep in the forest now. Huh? I don’t see it. Hold up. Huh? Wa! This must be the creaking heart. Destroying this is sure to take out all the creaking. Wa! So, that’s the heart. Then, let’s destroy it already. Yeah. The creaking are here. Huh? You’re right. What do we do? Mikey, can you watch the creaking so they don’t move? Oh, got it. I’ll set up some TNT to destroy the creaking heart. Okay, I’m laying out the TNT. I’m counting on you. I’ll keep watching.
