20 Mistakes Keeping you Poor In Stardew Valley 1.6
Tired of grinding and still being broke in Stardy Valley? Will these mistakes keep you poor? Let me know if you do any of these on your farm. Did you know that you can take some money and magically turn it into considerably more money? It’s easy. Ensure that you have tons of cakes and the artisan profession. Then on Friday, head over to Sandy’s Oasis. Buy as much honey as you can afford. The more the better. Then head home and turn all of that honey into me. The honey from Sandies only costs 200 gold each. But when you turn it into meat, you will make 420 gold, effectively doubling your money instantly. The best part, it only takes half a day to turn honey into meat. This is truly broken. Mystic syrup is more overpowered than any of you know. Mystic trees with the tapper profession and those juicy heavy tappers will give you one mystic syrup after only 3 days. Each mystic syrup sells for 1,250 gold. That means that each mystic tree generates over 400 gold per day. That’s more profitable than ancient fruit. But wait, there is more. You can eat mystic syrup. They will give you 500 energy and 250 health. They’re basically one of the best healing foods in the entire game. Use them for money and to stay alive in the mines. One of the easiest ways to print money in this game is with fishing. I know what you’re thinking. Fishing only makes good money in the early game. This is absolutely false since this latest update. Here is a setup. Get a deluxe iridium fishing rod. Get some lava eels and drop them into bait makers to get lava eel bait. Then use a trap fishing bobber and a quality bobber. Naturally, drink some seafoam pudding and use the master enchantment on your fishing rod. Now catch as many lava eels as you can. The bait will make them bite much faster. The trap bobber will make them easier to catch and the quality bober will ensure that you only catch iridium quality lava eels. Smoke these up with the fish smoker and literally swim in money. Enjoy being rich as heck. You love your pigs. You love watching them find truffles. And yeah, you have the botist profession that guarantees you to only harvest iridium quality truffles. It’s great. So lovely. However, pigs used to be the best animal in the game. The 1.6 six update with the golden animal crackers have taken ostriches and turned them into absolute pure profit machines. We are talking about half a million gold with only 12 ostriches. And the best part, you do not need to waste time every single day harvesting truffles. It’s easier, it’s better. Use ostriches. Okay, there is always this argument that puts the mushroom cave up against the fruit bat cave. Well, that argument ends today. The mushroom cave comes with one free dehydrator. This will be the easiest and cheapest processing machine you will ever get in your playthrough and will allow you to snowball and get that early game gold. You are underutilizing villagers birthdays. Listen here. Get a calendar from Robin and drop it in your house. Now you know exactly when it is someone’s birthday. Now when it is their birthday, give them an iridium quality loved gift. Then give them a star drop tea or two. Doing this on their birthday will take their friendship from zero hearts to eight hearts in a split second. Birthdays are just overpowered. Abuse them. There are a bunch of new cabin designs in the game. That’s cool, but not important. What is important is that you fully upgrade all of these cabins. Listen, you can plug in a controller and upgrade all of these cabins to max level. This will allow you to have more room to age wine and cheese. Casks are restricted. You can only drop them in your basement. So, just get eight basements, bro. It ain’t that hard. There are five masteries, and yeah, of course, you need to get all of them. However, I always get the farming mastery first. That’s because you will be given an iridium scythe. This thing is broken. First, it will save you tons of time by harvesting crops on your Ginger Island farm. And yeah, it’s much quicker. However, there’s also an iridium scythe secret. It increases the range that you can harvest by. This is what I mean. I have a greenhouse filled with garden pots in a way that my character cannot harvest everything. Only with a sight can I fully utilize the space and get tons and tons of crops inside a tiny little shed. Bombs are just absolutely incredible. They will let you mine an entire floor within mere seconds. It’s no secret bombs are needed. However, this update has drastically increased the price of bombs. Do not buy bombs unless you are already a millionaire. They’re actually not hard to craft. Just use the burglar ring, some monster musk, and defeat loads of enemies so that you can craft up your own bombs. Your pockets will thank you. If you’re like me, you love honey, especially on your Ginger Island farm. Look at this setup. This simple little honey setup makes 300,000 gold every 4 days. It’s madness. However, here’s the reality. You need eight coal for each and every single bee house. It is ridiculous. You need to constantly be farming for coal, either by crushing little dust sprites repeatedly or by mining for those new coal nodes in the quarry. Don’t skip the quarry. There’s free coal there for you. In Stardy Valley, every smart farmer knows the sooner you plant, the sooner you profit. Well, subscribing is your first investment. Star drop tea is by far the best gift in the entire game. It’s a loved gift for everyone, and you can give someone 50 of these on a single day if you wanted to. They do not count towards the two per week limit. So, you need to be getting prize tickets as often as possible. Do the help wanted quests and do the special order quests. Do them as soon as they become available every single week. You need Star Drop T. Trust me. You might have seen this new treasure appraisal guide book and seen that it triples the value of all artifacts. That sounds crazy, right? Wait. Dinosaur eggs are considered artifacts and it works on them as well. This means that an idium quality dinosaur egg sells for 2,100 gold each. Sounds incredible, right? Wrong. The truth is that one dinosaur will make one egg per week. That’s four per season. That’s only 8,400 gold per dinosaur per season. All I want to say is do not waste your animal crackers on dinosaurs. By now, you know that the dig site is by far the best place to be in the entire game. Let me explain. First, get yourself an idium pan with the archaeologist enchantment. You will find tons of panning spots here. And with this enchantment, you’ll be getting treasure troves from panning. Then get yourself an Idium hoe with the same archaeologist enchantment. Use some treasure totems at the dig site and ho up even more treasure troves. Treasure troves are great. They give you golden pumpkins and even treasure chests. You can kind of print money at the dig site. Back in the day, we would craft up loads of tea tree saplings. These were one of the easiest ways to get absolutely loaded in the early game. It just worked. You could easily farm up hundreds of these and sell them for 500 gold each, ensuring you unlock the desert in your first summer. Well, that is just no longer the case. They sell for half of that now. Not bad. Still viable, just not nearly as good as they used to be. I know you have a couple fish ponds with lava eel sturgeons, and yeah, you already dropped golden animal crackers on those. Now, you already know that if you take those fish out to swap them with a new fish, those golden animal crackers will be gone forever. However, you should still do this. The truth is that Mr. Concerned Day fixed legendary fish in fish ponds. They are now just absolutely broken. Lose the golden animal cracker, drop a legendary fish in that fish pond, you will find another cracker. Don’t worry about it. Mushroom logs are incredible, especially if you surround them with trees so that they can produce the most amount of valuable mushrooms. This is my setup. My setup is horrible. Your setup might look like mine. I found this absolutely perfect setup on Reddit that will maximize your mushroom yield with the smallest amount of space possible. It looks kind of chaotic and it actually uses trees that are not fully grown, which is wild to me, but it’s insane. I exclusively use mystic trees to ensure we mostly get purple mushrooms. The best mushrooms a man can get. Listen, summer squash, carrots, and broccoli are all brand new crops that are kind of hard to grow since we can’t easily get their seeds. However, we will get some of these seeds simply by playing the game. Now, here’s the secret with these crops. They should not be grown with the intention to sell for money. No, that is not their purpose. These crops exist purely as an early game source of energy and health. Grow these regardless of their cell value. Grow them to eat in the mines. That is their true purpose. Look at this mushroom tree setup. I am absolutely swimming in valuable mushroom trees. What’s the next move? Drop these into dehydrators and get dried mushrooms that sell for loads of gold. No, wrong. Stop it. Use preserve jars instead. They sell for slightly less. However, you will have five times as much mushroom jelly as dried mushrooms, giving you considerably more money. This alone will make you rich. There we go. Now you can stop being poor in Stardy Valley. Now watch this video with 20 of the best kept secrets in the entire Stardy Valley universe. Thanks for watching. But for now, I will see you in the next
