Terraria in the deep ocean is terrifying…

This Terraria world started on a deserted island at sea, and now we have a whole ocean to explore…

Here’s the video where I made the island, which was originally a golf course (it’s very old): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mwFJ2bp4lU&ab_channel=WandofSparking

Here’s a folder with the world if you want to play it yourself, it’s called Stranded (be warned though, it’ll spoil the videos, and it misbehaves sometimes): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1_rPAy4Ag3MhXquD4yDXiE4hgFGvGfBRG?usp=sharing

I usually try to avoid using the same song in back to back videos in a series, but some of these are just too perfect thematically.

  1. This map feels like a less skyblock-y version of Isle of Voices. Plenty of adventure and it has that gambling feeling of hoping to find a lucky island.

  2. ngl but the thought of this world lowkey terrifies me, especially with going below the islands and needing to carefully traverse the bottom of them. great series though i must say

  3. No clue why, but I really love sections like 2:45. Gives you some break time between the action, like a sort of commercial break or intermission, however brief as it is. Maybe I'm weird, I dunno.

  4. It literally does not matter but I thought it was funny- in the description you listed the third song as "Torvus Bug" ๐Ÿ˜‚

  5. I like to think that even though you made the world and know pretty much everything about it-over time you forget so towards the end of those series we are both in the dark about what comes next

  6. 31:11 (Burying in new lines because no spoil)

Thank you for saving froggy. Presumably the old Terrarian fishing frog statues of the boot hunting days would be pleased

  7. I'm loving this series!! Standard Terraria worlds start to feel small once you've played through a ton of them, but this map makes it feel like there's so much more to explore! It's also just very pretty, the map view looks so nice

  8. I'm imagining a version of this with the abyss depth mechanics from Calamity to make deep water exploration even more hazardous.

  9. I've always disliked the underground desert. The monsters and traps are persistently annoying, it's not fun to look at, and it always felt underdeveloped. Hardmode just makes it more annoying.

  10. Your music selection is great. When I think about your content, I can only think of it with this beautiful music playing in the background as you're exploring, mining, and even just doing some random fun stuff. I love it.

  11. Absolutely loving this world; almost enough to want to replay Terraria myself! I'd love if they made this a real seed, and made the ocean water infinite like Starbound's ocean worlds (at least it seemed infinite, I never tested it). I wish it could have more depth; getting well into mod territory here, but having it that you need certain gear to reach the deeper areas, that light works even less effectively, and there's big scary beasties down there that will get you if the pressure and lack of air don't kill you first. Especially having a boss down there would be awesome, could even make a whole biome (Hadal? Abyssal?). Video games are such a great way to capture the wonder and horror of the deep ocean; I'll never forget swimming around Vashj'ir in WoW and how amazing that experience was. Loving this map so much, please do more, even if it ends up being an underwater boss rush!
