tree, i wouldn’t think of anything with a non solid top part as a mushroom tbh

It looks like a palm tree with uncanny colors

I think the middle parts of the grates being open does that, because it looks like leaves falling down, not a rounded mushroom cap

Tree for me! I think the main reason for me is that tree canopies tend to form shaped toward the light regardless of the lean of the trunk, if that makes sense, like I’d expect the bottom of the canopy to be roughly parrallel to the sky, whereas mushroom caps hug – or at least sit upon – the stem (stem? I don’t know my mushroom terminology) so if the stem leans then the cap leans with it. On this the canopy(?) looks orientated to the sky rather than the leaning trunk so I think it reads as leaves instead of a mushroom cap.

    Which were you going for?

Also either way it’s cool. Very ethereal and good striking colour choices.

I dunno… I kinda thought it was a weird basket spilling out lava at first. It might help to change the honey blocks to something else, or maybe change the light, but I imagine that’s not something you want to do.

It’s an oddball alien plant for sure, especially with those blocks. This entire build looks like you used a randomizer to choose random blocks. That’s not a bad thing though— experimentation is the universal way to learn, grow, and innovate in anything creative.
