The 1.6 Update DESTROYED Stardew Valley Min-Max Runs

here’s how the 1.6 update destroyed Stardew Valley Minmax runs While the 1.6 update was huge for his additions to the game one feature added completely broke any hope of Minmax players playing on it You see the main goal of Minmax players is to earn 100 million gold in hand in the first year of Stardew Valley Now while this seems like an impossible goal it actually is possible but requires heavy planning tricks and skill The biggest thing these runners use is something called the predictor Because of the way RNG is generated in Stardew pretty much everything can be predicted based off your seed and the day Things like the location of the clay in the ground and which crops will be gold quality This allowed runners to do hugely important things to squeeze that extra value out of the game However despite this being in the game since its very release in 2016 it was all completely broken in the 1.6 update As Concerned 8 patched out basically all predictable RNG in favor of true randomness There is still an option to check off legacy RNG to make the game work like it previously did but now it just feels dirty

  1. The Confusion I felt when I started a new save for the update, needing more clay, of course I went to do some clay farming while my friend was up in the mines getting everything else we needed.

And it just…. Wasn't working, I spent a Really long time at the beach just trying to get it started, Maybe I forgot the pattern, maybe I'm just extra unlucky or Something.

But No, it was the update.
The disappointment, I'd Just gotten good at clay farming very recently :c

  2. Stardew Valley is now the highest rated game in Steam 🔥 makes sense that Seanie, and us casual players, will return in SDV because of it. Stardew Valley truly deserves its place at no.1
