Did anyone else think Minecraft was a horror game when they were first introduced to it? Imagine this is your first ever time playing Minecraft? It’s really peaceful off the get- go. So, you make your first ever world. So, you get down and start exploring the world with this lovely new music that you found. That’s one way your first impression of Minecraft could be. Or maybe it’s this official trailer from 13 years ago. Let’s go to a place where everything is made of blocks, where the only limit is your imagination. It’s a really nice first impression. I wish I could say the same for myself. I actually had a Minecraft nightmare before I’d even seen or played Minecraft. I was 9 or 10 when I was first introduced to Minecraft by one of my friends. See, we didn’t have a family computer, but he had his own gaming PC. Everyone else had a Nintendo Wii, but he also had a gaming PC, and he introduced me to Minecraft. Here’s what Minecraft looked at that time. You’d expect him to say, “Wow, there’s just so many beautiful forests, cute little animals. You should try and play the game if you can.” Nope, that wasn’t how. You see, the game he told me about before was Slenderman. So, I assume this was another horror game because of how he presented it. I don’t know why I remember this so well, but this is exactly what he told me. When it turns nighttime, monsters appear like spiders that are the size of you. One of the monsters will silently sneak up on you and explode when it finds you. There’s a monster that can shoot fire that’s going to burn your house down. Then, I had a nightmare that night that a fire shooting monster burned down my house in real life. And I hadn’t even seen a block of Minecraft yet. And then me and my brother decided to buy it 2 years later. And now I’m here playing Minecraft for my job.

I remember that my cousin was telling me a bout both minecraft and Fortnite, so I got the two confused, and had a nightmare of shooting a blocky photo-realistic skeleton getting shot with my gun and sliding off blue ice into the void. Fun times, fun times. Absolutely hated the idea of minecraft, until I unmixed them.

First time I played survival mode in Minecraft I spawn in a forest at night time and it was foggy. I walk like five blocks and then I hear zombie sound. I got off that world so fast.

First played minecraft when i was about 4 or 5 i think, up until i was about 8 or 9 there were multiple instances of me nearly being banned cos i was terrified of the creepers
so i got minecraft on an iphone when i was six and my first memory of play was dying over and over to a spider because i accidently kept pressing crouch and so i thought the spider was poisoning me and so wanna know what i did i got this shady mod app and downloaded shaders that looking back were really good for random shaders but i thought shaders made the game less hard and stuff like that so i loaded back in at immediately got jump scared and had to take a break from minecraft and watch some videos witch kinda spoiled my minecraft journey
The most horrifying thing I've expierienced was being jumpscared in the middle of a mineshaft by a creeper,gladly,I had a shield and got just far enough away to where I didn't need it

i was introduced to minecraft by youtubers when i was 6, so when i turned 7, i got gifted minecraft from my grandparents, and i was so happy and excited to play it. so, when i finally played it, everything was going fine, until i was going to mine in a cave for the frist time, but then the random creepy ass cave sounds and i was so scared, bro. i seached what they meant on youtube, and i found those videos talking about how they may be connected to herobrine. that very night i had a nightmare about it.
