Something I love about Terraria is how many unique achievements are in the game? Some of these achievements are easy, but some of them are also extremely challenging. So, what’s really the hardest achievement to obtain in Terraria? The rarest achievement is and good riddance, which you can only collect by purifying a world entirely. No corruption, crimson, or hollow. I don’t think that this is really the hardest achievement to get, though. In my opinion, the most time-consuming task in Terraria by far is unlocking the Supreme Helper Minion achievement. You need to complete 200 different angller quests to get this. Since the angller only gives out one quest per day, this achievement will take 200 in-game days if you’re as consistent as possible. I don’t know about you, but that sounds a lot harder than purifying your world to

And Good Riddance was only made into an achievement in 1.4.4, means people have had only the last 2+ years to get it, as opposed to the 10 years that Supreme Helper Minion has been an achievement to still have such a low completion rate.
Making a new world and purifying it in pre-hardmode with a Terraformer is trivially easy with Biome Sight Potions and that still counts for the achievement. Supreme Helper Minion is always gonna be a colossal time sink no matter what
Either: go in journey mode, select "set to night", then "set to day" in the journey menu to skip a whole day with two clicks, allowing instant fishing quests.
Or: Just play the game with some semi-consistent fishing. ACHIEVEMENTS CARRY OVER FROM WORLD TO WORLD!!!!

Tedious and difficult are not the same
As someone who just recently got every achievement in terraria, I can confirm the angler achievements are somewhat hard to complete, tho there is an easy way of getting them all done
Calling either hard feels very wrong, as both are just time-consuming, but they're not difficult in the least. In fact, quite a few of the achievement in the game are one of the four:
1. Time consuming (the two biggest ones are covered here)
2. RNG dependent (random drops, or random spawns)
3. Kill something
4. Unavoidable progression ones
And the former two usually only require a time-investment, so only the last ones are specific and there I would say either "Kill ALL Bosses" or "Kill all three Mechanical Bosses at the same time" fit the bill better.
Or maybe getting Zenith as it depends on getting specific random loot, including farming several bosses for specific weapons, including TWO from Moon Lord.

I cheated the fishing achievements with a workshop world and I don’t even slightly feel bad
I don’t think you guys understand how difficult Supreme Helper Minion is to get. Yes beds help, but you still have to wait 12 minutes for the next quest. And the enchanted sun and moon dial only work once an in-game week. Speaking from experience, I literally built a decorated and structurally sound sky bridge while waiting for quests and still was only at 150 (and that was combined from the 100 quests I did in pre-hardmode). And good riddance is hard, but it’s not time restricted.
Angler achievement easily hardest
Just do it in journey mode

It would take about 80 hours of total days passed in Terraria to get this achievement without beds/dials
That's not the hardest it's just the most time consuming
The reason the purification achievement is rarer is because it’s a new achievement. It’s also way easier to cheese by making a new small world with end game character. The fishing achievement is still the hardest achievement by a long shot IMO.
This is how i getand good riddance :
I have two world one hardmode crimson and one corruption pre-hardmode
Get clentamenator purrified the whole corruption world and discovered that i need to be in hardmode
kill wall of flesh and because of my poor phone i take time to get into hardmode and now go to the dryad in the HALLOW jungle ask her while 40% into hardmode get the achievement
I have to disagree 200 fishing questions isn’t hard to do it annoying there’s a difference
I still don’t have the he Doctor Bones achievement after 2 years, it’s only one left

100% completionist here, angler quests are pretty easy. Set up fake biomes for fishing, and sleep between quests. Purify the world is so much worse, because you miss thag 1 block and end up going over the whole world for the last 1%
Using the sun dial and moon dial can literally halve the days it takes

Journey mode, 'nuff said
Its not hard, its only Time consuming
For the first one, you just need to destroy/empy out a world with a dcu and its easy
I finished the SHM achievement completely on accident while i was playing on mobile. I wasn't even trying to go for it, i just fished and fished and fished because why not. I didn't even think it was that special at the time, i just went "Oh cool"
