My base is over 1000 blocks away, there are no swords or pickaxes in the stronghold. I saved and quit so i can ask for help.
I have a boat and am on bedrock T-T
Do you guys know how long it takes for stuff to despawn? I dont have any pearls so i would need to kill endermen of them, and dont have any looting books or swords. The end city i was at is about 200 blocks from the teleport thing.
Do i have time to run back to my base and get pearls before my stuff despawns?
This was my first time beating the dragon and i dont want to lose the egg T-T

My base is also nowhere near spawn and i do have a direct path to the surface
do u have xtra stuff if so use that if not time doesn’t move in the end whilst in the overworld
it also takes 5 min for stuff to despawn
Stuff takes 5 min. to despawn once in the same chunk.
It will despawn 5 minutes after the chunk loads.
5 minutes. While you’re safe, Mojang needs to seriously reconsider keeping dropped items spawned for longer. There’s no reason not to, and it’s only an annoyance
You should have had a water bucket and feather falling boots
You have the cords where you died. They are in this video. You have 5 minutes of the chucks being loaded. If I was you I’d stock up on food and blocks and go get your shit.

Most important: make a copy of the world in case you need multiple attempts
You can break your bed thay you placed in the stronghold and respawn at spawn, make ur way to ur base, and gear up. Items despawn 5 minutes after u load the chunk within render distance, meaning you can take all the time in the world getting back to the end city, but once you see the end city you basically have 5 minutes before your stuff is gone. On bedrock edition, every end dragon kill (or just the first two, i forgot) gives you the egg btw
Got my stuff back but a few minutes later a shulker knocked me up into the air over the void, and i missed my pearl ;-;
Turn down your render distance and go in the other direction of the End to grab a new elytra (if needed). Then fly back to your gear. You have 5 mins once the chunks are loaded until your gear disappears
