THE FIRST END UPDATE, SHELF OVERHAUL, + BETTER TNT IS HERE!! (minecraft snapshot 25w33a)
Well, hello ladies and gentlemen. It’s me, Markiplier, and welcome to a Minecraft snapshot. In one of the greatest moves of all time, it looks like our coppery droppery. Well, we might just be looking at a release that’s creeping up on us, potentially less than a month away. Oh, yeah. Yeah, and that’s right, the title. Sometimes I’m a little clever. I’m pretty smart with my saloothing. Now, hear me out here. This is just a theory, but take a look at this post right here. We have an E, we’ve got an N, and then all the way over here, we have a D. Does this perhaps mean an end update? Subscribe, smash that like button, and you really don’t have to tell me that I’m so handsome looking like that I look good. You really don’t have to do that down below, but of course you could. Our first big mark of the day. Oh my gosh, you take a look at the shelf. We are so back, Chad. Take a look at it. We’ve got the items on the shelf right dead center. And dude, these are big. I can see this from a mile away. They’re so huge now. We spoke and Yes. Yes, Mojang. Listen. So, take a look at the shell. When we place it down, same exact texture. But when we put something in it, dude, it’s back in the middle and it’s absolutely ginormous now. Look at how big it is. The blocks, they actually went ahead and done it to them. They made the blocks when you place them inside of a shelf. Absolutely gigantic. And then the items, well, like an item icon when you place it inside of the shelf. It’s a little bit bigger than it used to be before, but not quite as big as a block. Oh, wow. I love it. This change is absolutely beautiful. I love that Mojang heard the community out. They heard our cries for it after last week’s snapshot and went ahead and reverted it. But they didn’t just revert it. They actually went ahead and upgraded the shelf as well. So you’ve got options now. If you wanted to, you can make it so shelves, well, they can still have items sitting on the actual shelf themselves. We’ve got a new block tag. So yeah, this is being pulled off with a new block tag. the align item to bottom. Unfortunately, without the debug stick and survival Minecraft, I can’t quite figure out if there’s any kind of way to make that happen. I wish there was, though, like like I don’t know, maybe you interact with a shelf with an axe or something and it slaps the items all down to the shelf. Seeing as the fact that the devs left it in game, it’d be cool to be able to take advantage of it in survival if you wanted to. Now, you might be wondering, what does the shelf look like when you power it with items in it? Well, there we go. We get the shelf to move away. The items don’t change at all, but wow, I just love how big these items are now. It’s so cool. On top of that beautiful functionality, we actually had some problems with a hopper loading things into a shelf. Basically, there were instances in which the hopper should have been able to load things into the shelf, but for whatever reason was not loading things into the shelf. We also have a sneaky little bug fix that could be just that. But man, considering how beautiful this block is, I would love to see this generate as part of structures as well. At least for now though, from the looks of it for this update, you will be able to make a custom structures with shells. But maybe one day in the future, we could see it in vanilla. Next up, we’re going to do something that I don’t usually do. I’m in survival. I’m falling, but I am also typing in the I didn’t finish my message. But that’s okay because if I open up the chat once I’ve respawned and am a little bit safer. What? How did you know I was saying that? Yeah, that’s right. I could now save drafts. Yeah, that’s right. If I was typing a message and then the chat box was forcibly closed, like I didn’t close it myself. Well, whatever message I was typing right there, maybe I hint. Well, whatever I was typing and wanted to send very importantly in the chat so you could read it, you don’t miss it or anything. It’ll be saved. And another new little chat functionality. If you are jumping into a Nether portal, you can now type in the Nether portal and you’ll actually be able to be sent to the other dimension all while you’re typing at the same time. Given the fact that most people don’t chat in single player, this seems to be yet another yet another one of Mojang’s multiplayer upgrades and ease quality of life changes that they seem to be working on. Inside of options, we have a brand new setting inside of chat settings. In here, I can save unsend chats on or off. By default, this is off. But if I flick it to on, well then, let’s say I was typing something and then I just hit escape and close the chat. Well, the next time I open the chat, that message will be there saved so I could pick back up off with whatever I was trying to say. These are definitely some surprising changes that caught me off guard. Not going to lie, they are very, very nice, though. And now there are multiple ways that one could restore a chat draft, but probably the easiest way is just by continuing to type. Last thing I’m going to talk about with a chat draft before we move on. Um, well, that’s awkward. By opening a draft and hitting backspace, it will just delete the whole draft. But anyway, let’s move on. In an earlier snapshot for this update, a new tool tip was added to the spawn egg when you are in peaceful that will let you know that the spawn egg won’t work, but it still would work for one tick. You see, that’s been changed now, though, because no longer will a spawn egg work even for one tick if you are in peaceful Minecraft and the mob is hostile. Did you know that TNT has been bugged for like a long time? Actually, this has been bugged for longer than I’ve been alive. Bugged since Minecraft 1.15 2019. Aha. So, check this out. If I have TNT and I go ahead and light it, we’re going to want to watch the explosion here because explosion will happen and a bunch of extra particles will now pop up. all of these additional particles that kind of fly shooting out of the explosion were not showing up and haven’t been for a long long time. Instead, what we would get here is basically a small amount of particles at the center. But look at it. Watch how Oh, it’s so immersive and smooth. Now, this makes me wonder about other explosions. Maybe glowstone anchor thing. Oh, those particles fly out, too. Small little upgrade to explosions, but beautiful nonetheless. All right. All right. Here we are over in Studio W7. And down this hallway over here, I have a recent and new addition to the studio. I’d like to present you the end room. You probably saw it in a different video. And I’m going to go ahead and walk into the end here. And then, wo, right off the bat, you will notice that the end, if you’re familiar with it, it looks completely different. The tone, the tinting of these blocks here. Oh, that’s crazy. But gradually here, the tone tinting faded back to something that I’m a little bit more familiar with. Now, as I hang out here inside of the end in default vanilla Minecraft, like without any vibrant visuals or anything, oh, the lighting, it actually flashes. End storms are here. All right, so let’s check this out a little bit more here in the outer end. moving around. If we take a look at the ground, the islands, everything, and the sky, too, we will notice that occasionally, aha, occasionally there’s a gentle explosion. It’s a very low sound that flashes from time to time, and everything turns pink. Now, after doing a little bit of experimentating with this end flash stuff, I’ve learned that it is controlled by the brightness toggle. So, if I turn this all the way down, it gets really, really dark in the end. Then, we’re going to want to move around here and just give it a second. These end flashes happen at random, but whoa wee. Take a look at how purple it is when I have moody brightness. If I were to cinematically maybe fly around in spectator mode inside of the end, you know, just trying to figure out if the end flash will happen while I’m not really playing. Well, yes, the end flash will definitely happen still in spectator mode. Now, I’ve been calling these things endstorm. So, what about the weather toggle? If I turn the weather toggle, like the volume of it all the way up and hang out here in the end for a little bit more time. Well, then our cool flash sound. Uh-huh. The volume of it, the bang gets louder. So, the end storm, the flash of this thing is controlled by the weather toggle. Now, this is crazy because end updates, we’ve been getting tons and tons of hints for a long, long time now. This little update right here is obviously kind of coming over to Javier Edition from Bedrock Edition vibrant visuals. But up until this week, I guess we’ll have to wait and see if this end flashing ends up getting ported over to Bedrock Edition nonvibrant visuals. But up until this week, the end of Flash has only been in vibrant visuals. It is now being expanded out into the full vanilla Minecraft game and even put into the version of the game that doesn’t even have vibrant visuals quite yet. Now, right now, from my brief testing and exploring, because Minecraft Java doesn’t have shadows or anything like that, shadows are not cast quite yet with the end storm and just moving around here. Dude, I’m obsessed with it. It’s so good looking. It’s really cool. The flashes, the pink lighting getting flooded into the end. Oh, and you might be wondering about default brightness right in the middle. Well, at the game’s default brightness inside of the end, when a flash happens, it looks a little less pink than it does on Moody. You can tell definitely tell though that the end is being flashed with a pink lighting all over the place. Guys, what do you think? Is the endtorm flash the only update coming to the end or do we have a little bit more? For more on the end update madness and check out this video after the snapshot one. There’s a lot finally here today. A brand new and seemingly final copper golem functionality. This one is going to involve the iron golem. It’s a golem on golem. Wait, is that spawning sound new? That’s got to be new. Anyway, this involves the golems, the different types of them. If we have iron golem and copper golem, well, from time to time, the iron golem can actually walk around and plant a poppy on the head of the copper golem. Oh man. Now, I wish the debug stick actually worked on mobs. It It doesn’t. And I wish I really wish that there was like a command easily put here to make this happen. I’m just not that smart. So, I guess the oldfashioned way here is to spawn a bunch of iron golems. That dude was holding a flower. Oh, but I don’t think he did it. We spawn a bunch of iron golems. We spawn a bunch of copper golems. And we hang out around over here for a little bit of time. Sooner or later, one of these dudes has to do it, right? Uhhuh. It’s a bunch of golems. So far, nothing. Oh, they’re so dedicated. So many of them are migrating over to the village. Stop it. Stop it. Plant the flower. I’m looking through these attributes here. I don’t think there’s one to control it. And they’re doing a bunch of tick sprinting here. I don’t see the copper golem. Not a single one of them out of the thousand of them that I have spawned in this world have a flower. He wants to give it to the villager though. A, you’re so kind. Huh. They’re running around. They’re so busy. There are so many golems. But it just seems that this is going to happen in a normal survival world. like pretty uncommonly. Hey, but take a look at it. Give it a little bit of time and sure enough, it will definitely happen. Dude, you’re so cool. Anyway, that is where I’m going to end today’s snapshot video. Thank you all so much for watching. My name is Markiplier. I hope you liked and subscribed. I’ll be live tomorrow with a gigantic project from the snapshot world. [Music]

could it be??? is it finally time for an end update next drop?? WHAT DO YOU THINK
Markiplier colab confirmed?
2:16 an alternative is a game setting toggle for align shelves to bottom or center. Then survival could have either but the player would have to pick one for their whole world.
Mojang is cooking
And medium rare
W
Seem some loser cant sto pgive some ghype about a update to future minecraft by uderpaid stuff mojang studio who stil update at baree minimun .
omg wattles you are so handsome
For the shelves, it'd be cool if you could add honey to it like copper to keep the items there locked. This way you could keep it empty as a decorative piece, or to avoid putting in or taking out items accidentally.
Better tnt you say?
Why do i think the end flashes are like those fortnite updates where the game slowly changes until a live event
hello everybody, my name is Markiplier
it still looks nothing like a shelf
I'm almost more excited about the possibility of real colored lighting in vanilla minecraft than I am about a potential end update
the chat thing isn’t needed u can just press upper arrow
Love your videos them up
MOJANG WE FEEL SO HEARD so glad shelf items back to being centered and bigger by default. I do think crouch while clicking to adjust the position of stuff on the shelf wud also be great for those who still want the stuff “sitting” on the shelf.
Hey look at the END ADD-ON for Bedrock edition
chat drafts are really good to avoid soft locking, like if something or someone is killing you repeatedly, like spawn killing, then you can type a command while you're alive and continue typing after you die. Same for the ability to type in the nether portal: you can set the blocks around you to air, or tp yourself elsewhere
well hello wattles, how've ya been?
Ahh jes 6 year old wattles
When does copper golem come to pocket
No one wants to talk about the hanged copper golem?
