BLOOD RAIN vs. Doomsday Bunker With FAMILY!

Bad news. Soon the blood rain will start falling and it’ll keep raining for 10 years. Blood rain? And for 10 whole years? That’s right. The blood rain corrupts everything it touches. So, we have to quickly prepare for it so we can keep our family safe. This is bad. But, okay. I’m definitely going to protect you two from the blood rain. So, don’t worry. I’m going to get started right away. Good luck, JJ. Let’s make sure we both keep our families safe. Good luck to you, too. Okay, let’s prepare for the blood rain, too. H I think we can avoid the blood rain’s influence by building a shelter that we can flee to underground beneath our house. It’s going to be raining for 10 whole years. So, that shelter needs to be able to house us for that long. So, now over here, is this a good size for the hole? I guess I’ll keep digging until it reaches deep below. I want to make the shelter deep underground to keep the blood rain from getting inside. This should be good. Oh, I’m really deep down. So, next up, I’ll dig out the tunnel that leads off from here. And I’d like that to be pretty long. Hm. So, as you can see, I’ve made a tunnel that leads underground. Next up over here, I’d like to set up double layered ladders and hatches. So, I’ll set up the ladders just like this all the way up. Then, I’ll attach a hatch like so. Now, I imagine there’s a high chance that the blood ring could leak inside. So, I’m doubling up the hatches to try to prevent it from doing so. The double layers are just to be extra careful. I’ll place another hatch close up to wrap that up. Then, when we’re on our way down. Wo! I want it to be safe when someone lands down here. So, I’ll place some slime blocks to nullify the fall damage. Next up, I want to make a huge open space at the end of this tunnel. So, I think I’ll use a command here to instantly make that. Hm. Perfect. Now, I have a huge open space. But currently, it’s just surrounded with stone and such. So, it’s possible the corrupting blood rain will be able to leak inside. So, let’s coat the interior of the shelter with layers of blocks that can resist the corruption. I think blocks of gold would be the best choice. They’ll be able to resist both the corruption and the rusting caused by the blood rain. I’ll add a layer of them right away. [Music] H. Okay, I’ve coated the interior of the shelter with blocks of gold. This is turning into quite the sturdy shelter. So, for the next step, we’ll want to know if the blood rain has caused anything strange in the tunnel. So, I’ll set up an entrance with strong glass and a sturdy door to let us observe what’s on the other side. So, first I’ll use glass blocks like this. Hm. I’ve extended the glass a bit. And then I’ll finish up by installing a sturdy door. Now the entrance to the shelter is complete. H it looks like the outer shell of my shelter is all set. So the next thing we’ll do is bring the furniture down from the house so we can make the shelter into a much nicer place to live. Okay, let’s grab all the furniture. Now we’ll set it all up. All done. Let’s take a brief tour of the shelter so far. Over here is the kitchen. We have a stove and a fridge, so we’re all set in terms of cooking. And here’s the dining table. This is where we’ll eat our meals. We’ve also placed enough beds for the three of us. And over here we have our bathtub and shower and of course a toilet. We also brought our gaming computers down to use when we’re bored. That way we’ll still be able to entertain ourselves while we’re down here. All right. How about we coat the house above ground with gold, too? Yeah, that’s a good idea. I’ll quickly do that. [Music] All right, I finished coating the above ground house with blocks of gold. Now it will be protected from the blood rain. Next up, let’s build a source of water and a farm. The blood rain will be falling for 10 years, and we’ll need to be self-sufficient for that long. So, let’s make them on the large side. First up, I’ll build an infinite water source. [Music] Perfect. Now we’ll never run out of water. I’ll also build the farm right next to it. We’ll need to be self-sufficient for 10 whole years. So, I need to build an extremely large farm. [Music] I want to make it so the farm can automatically harvest its own crops. So that’s why I’m setting up this redstone circuit. H I guess that should do that. Next up, I’ll build the farm itself. [Music] [Applause] H. And now I’ll put lights up around here. Then I’ll fill this in with water over here. Place this chest down here. And I’ll set up the hoppers. Now for the last step, I’ll put water inside these dispensers. Well, I think that’ll do it. Now, if I push this button, hey, the water trickles down like that and the crops are harvested automatically. All right. Now, to till the soil, I’ll plant some carrots, beetroot, and maybe wheat on the top layer. The farm is now complete. I guess that means our food problem inside the shelter is taken care of. Next up, I’d like to upgrade our security system. Creatures that come in contact with the blood ring will become corrupted and go berserk attacking the survivors. So, I’d like to add security turrets to the entrance to fight off the corrupted monsters. So, let’s start by making the entrance a bit bigger. That should be large enough. Now I’ll install the security turrets. I’ll do so up here in the ceiling. I’ll attach the turrets. Then I’ll install the laser rifles and ammo into each of them. H. Okay. And finally, a lever. Here should be good. The security turrets are now complete. If the monsters happen to get down here, we can flip this lever from inside the shelter to activate the security turrets and take out the intruders. Okay, I’ve set up a farm and some security turrets, but I’ve forgotten one final super important thing. If the blood rain does somehow make it inside the shelter and floods it, it’ll be all over for us. So, to prevent that, I need to build a drainage device. Okay, first I’ll take some hoppers and I’ll put them into the floor like this. If the blood rain does seep inside, most likely from the ceiling or something, these hoppers should be able to drain it all from the shelter. Without these, the blood ring would end up touching us and we become corrupted and turn into monsters. I’ll place some extra ones just in case. And I’ll finish that up by putting a lever here. The drainage system is complete. Now, if the blood rain does happen to get inside the shelter, we can flip this lever to drain the blood rain through the hoppers that I’ve installed all over the floor. Oh, that’s right. These beds will be a problem if the shelter does flood. So, I’ll raise these up a level. And I’ll place the beds on top of this. Ha. Now, the beds will be fine even if it does flood. Also, if we do have an emergency, I think I’ll set up an alarm to let us know. I guess I’ll put one above ground as well, just in case. Now, there’s one up here, too. That should be it for our anti-blood rain security system. Now, we’ll be safe even if it does rain for 10 years. Huh. I wonder how Mikey and his family are doing. I’m a bit worried, so I’ll go take a look. I hope they’re doing well. Uh, hold up. There’s something on the roof of Mikey’s house. Is that an umbrella? There’s no way they plan to get through 10 years of the blood rain with nothing but an umbrella, right? I guess I’ll go ask Mikey. Mikey, how are your blood rain preparations coming? Oh, hi JJ. I’ve been finished for a while now, actually. Come out here. I’ll show you. Look, I put a big umbrella over my house. That’s sure to keep us safe from the blood rain. It won’t be able to get into the house with the umbrella there after all. Well, maybe not. But is that all you prepared? What? Of course not. Look over here. I have this, too. Wait, is that a sponge? Yeah. We have the umbrella over the house, so I think we’ll be fine when the blood rain is coming down. But if any happens to leak inside the house, these sponges will soak it up. Still, the sponges are more of a last resort security measure, so I doubt I’ll even need to use them. So, all you have is an umbrella and some sponges. The blood rain is extremely dangerous. Will that be enough? Huh? Then it’s going to be raining for 10 whole years. Don’t worry, it’ll be fine. I’m good at making things last. Here, I’ll show you. See this umbrella? I bought it 10 years ago and it’s still in perfect condition. Plus, take a look over here. I made sure we had a source of water and there’s a farm so we can be self-sufficient. We’re growing enough carrots for our whole family. 10 years will be a piece of cake. But is that really enough? Of course it is. Anyways, JJ, are you all done getting ready? Don’t just stand around here doing nothing. Go finish up your own security system. It’s only a matter of time before the blood rain starts falling. So, go on then. Good luck, JJ. Let’s make sure we protect our families. H Mikey only has an umbrella, some sponges, and a tiny farm. I can’t imagine that’s going to hold up for 10 non-stop years of blood rain. In the worst case scenario, Mikey’s family will probably end up being corrupted by the blood rain and turning into monsters. So, I think I’ll make a place inside my shelter to treat them, just in case that does happen. Okay, I’ll build the treatment room in this space over here so it’s ready in case Mikey’s family does become corrupted. I guess I’ll use iron bars and build it like this. I’ll make the entrance really sturdy. And then I’ll place even more iron bars over here. [Music] Okay, I think that should be good enough. Then I’ll place a chest here and put some splash potions and golden apples inside of it. And with that, the treatment room is complete. If Mikey’s family becomes corrupted, I’ll lure them into this treatment room and trap them inside. Once they’re in there, my plan is to treat them by taking splash potions and golden apples from this chest and tossing them through this gap. Once the corruption starts, I’ll only have 10 minutes to treat it. So, I’ll need to do this really quickly. I’ll have to keep that in mind and be really careful about that. Also, if Mikey’s family comes, they’ll need to hide out in the shelter. So, I’ll prepare beds for them, too. Is that enough? Thanks for waiting. You two, the blood rain shelter is finished. Now, let me show you around inside. So, this is the hatch to the shelter. We can enter the shelter through here. Just open it up like this. As you can see, there are two hatches to prevent the blood rain from getting inside. Okay, let’s head right down. Here’s the second hatch. We’ll open that one up as well. From there, we can drop down into the shelter. There are slime blocks here to cushion our landing, so it’s safe to jump down. If we continue through the tunnel, we’ll get to these security turrets. So, if any blood rain infected zombies invade through the hatches, these security turrets should be able to deal with them. Now, to open this sturdy door and go inside. Here’s the inside of the shelter. Over here, we’ve got an infinite water source. And next to it is a farm, so we won’t be lacking food. We’ll definitely have more than enough to be self-sufficient for 10 long years. Then here we have the kitchen and the living room. And here are the beds. And since we’ll be in here for 10 years, we have gaming computers to help us pass the time. Also, there’s a treatment room over here. If anyone touches the blood rain and becomes infected, we can treat them here. Also, I think we may have to deal with blood rain flooding the shelter at some point. So, if that happens, there’s a drainage system in the floor. If we flip this lever, the drainage system will activate and expel the blood rain through these hoppers on the floor. Now, the blood rain could start at any moment, so you both should stay here in the shelter while I take a look outside. I’ll be right back. [Music] It looks like the blood rain hasn’t started falling yet. H It’s not raining on this side either. Oh, Mikey’s outside for some reason. I guess I’ll go see what he’s doing. Mikey. Huh? Oh, JJ, you should head inside before the blood rain starts. But it’s so boring waiting around inside the house. And there’s no sign that the blood rain is going to fall soon. Maybe it isn’t even going to happen. I think it could start any time now. H or maybe it’s not going to rain at all. Huh? What? Did the sky just get dark all of a sudden? Yeah. This might be a sign that the blood rain is about to start. I think we should both head back inside. Okay, let’s both do our best to protect our families. Well, good luck, Mikey. Thanks. H Okay, now shut the doors. Hold up. It sounds like it’s raining. Huh? Wa! The blood rain has finally started. Oh, it’s raining really hard. That’s not good. The animals are getting drenched by the blood rain. Huh? Hang on a second. The animals have turned into some kind of corrupted monsters. Oh, that’s right. What about Mikey and his family? Oh, good. Mikey’s family’s taking shelter. The blood rain has started falling. But don’t worry, there’s an umbrella over our house, so we’re totally fine. That umbrella is more impressive than I thought. It’s actually keeping the blood rain off. Well, Mikey and his family seem fine, so I guess I’ll head back to my shelter to my family. [Music] Okay, I’m back inside my shelter. Bad news, the blood rain has started. We’re going to be spending a long 10 years inside this shelter, but we’ll get through it together. [Music] It’s been a while since the blood rain has started, and I’m getting really worried about Mikey and his family. I don’t think an umbrella and the sponges will be enough. I’m going to go check on Mikey and his family. They’ll be back soon. I hope they’re okay. I’ll head back up to the surface to take a look. Okay, I’m on the surface now. H Well, the blood rain still falling. I wonder if they’re doing okay. Wo, that umbrella is way better than I thought. The blood rain causes things to become corrupted, but it’s holding up well. I’m so glad they’re safe. H what? Oh, hold up. The umbrella is starting to decay all of a sudden. And Mikey and his family have no idea. This is terrible. The umbrella is completely wrecked. Hang on. Mikey’s dirt house is starting to decay, too. This is bad. The blood rain is leaking inside. Mikey’s house is falling apart. Huh? Oh, he’s trying to fix it by using sponges. Oh no, the house is completely ruined. Mikey’s family’s going to get hit by the blood rain. This is awful. And I can’t go help them with the blood rain falling like this. Uh, hang on. Mikey and his family have stopped moving. But why? Huh? No way. It looks like the blood rain has caused Mikey and his family to become corrupted. This is terrible. They all look so terrifying now. I think Mikey just made eye contact with me. Oh, they’re heading outside. Hang on. It looks like they saw me and are heading over here. Well, at least Mikey and his family aren’t dead, so I can still cure them. They’ve lost their senses when they became corrupted and are now coming after living humans. I can use this to my advantage to lure them into the shelter. All right, I’ll lure them over to the entrance. Over here, Mikey. Okay, here they come. Now to open the doors. Nice. I managed to lure them into the house. Now to close the doors and I’ll bring them down into the shelter. Excellent. They’re doing a great job of following me. Come on down here. Let’s see. Wa! The whole family’s coming. All right. Now, I’ll lead them into the shelter. Okay. Now, to open this door, I just have to trap them in the treatment room. All right, they’re coming inside. It’s just the baby left. All right, everyone’s inside. Now, I’ll head out. Yes, I managed to trap them inside the treatment room. So now, if I give them these potions and golden apples, they should change back to their normal selves. First, I’ll toss a potion inside, and then I’ll give each of them a golden apple. Eat these, everyone. Okay, I hope this works. Come on. Yes, they’re back to normal. The blood ring hit us. What do we do? Relax, Mikey. JJ. Huh? But why are you here? Huh? And where are we? But the lever to activate the drainage system is over by the farm. I need to get there without touching the blood rain. Who? Well, I’m going to try to make my way over there now. Be careful, JJ. Leave it to me. Okay, I’m going to hop over to the table. Yes. Wa. Then I’ll head over to the next. Go. That was close. Good job, Gigi. Now I’m up here. This is dangerous. I’m done for if I slip. Okay. Nice. I’ve reached the farm. All right. I’ll cross up here just to be safe. Okay. I’m almost there. Now to jump across here. All right. Wo. Now flip this lever to activate the drainage system. I’m so glad all the blood rain is gone. Nice drainage system, JJ. I’m glad I had the alarm and the drainage system. I’m so glad we’re all safe. Yes. Looking good. Just a little more to defeat them.
