Its a basically useless accessory that protects you from a debuff you'll almost never encounter. Granite biomes are more fun to explore because of their verticality, the marble biome is basically just the corruption cavern without the big pits and useful drops. I will admit that marble blocks are pretty tho, but i hate building on console (only way i play modern terraria)
gladiator armour is excellent, has the same defence as a full set of gold or meteor so it's perfectly functional in pre hardmode even against WoF, and knockback immunity pre-skeletron with no accessory slot needed is pretty nice. i wouldn't go out of my way to find a marble biome and probably wouldn't bother farming the set since i don't like grinding, but it's a perfectly viable choice. also marble biomes often have chests or life crystals due to how the world generates so you'll usually be happy to find one
yer jokeing right? the gladiator armour is insane preboss and good for skeletron and the gladius is also pretty good same with the spear and while it is useless the head is pretty cool granite and moss are way worst
Ignoring the fact that the marble biome is a mini biome, the actual worst biome should be the granite biome because it has the exact same number of enemies as the marble biomd but has ZERO unique items besides the granite blocks

The gladiator set got me past getfixedboi skeletron though I did only switch to it when needed

Umm mossy biome, atleast granite and marble have unique enimes and drops
It's a minibiome, not a full biome
the granite biome has the same lack of content issue, but its two enemies don't even drop weapons or armor

You do need the pocket mirror for the ankh shield, which I guess makes the gladiator armour useless but anyways…
