In the most recent preview they have announced that zombie nautilus do not suffocate on land, devs have also stated that when fed a bucket of fish you will get back a water bucket. This means you could have a villager fisherman in the nether that provides buckets of fish next to a zombie nautilus that will convert it to a bucket of water. This provides an method to obtain water bottles for brewing or cauldrons of water for dying that can be obtained independent of the surface world.

Why would you want to do all that in the nether? Anyway, just wondering. I wouldn’t see a need for it but I’m sure someone wants to.
Why does it need to be in the nether?
Or if this is for nether-only worlds, how would one get a Zautilus down there?
