Life drain can honestly carry you through planters. It’s better than almost any weapon you can get at that time for mage and the life regen is a nice added bonus
Dart rifle with crystal darts can absolutely shred the destroyer, and doesn’t perform too badly against the other mechs. It can also pummel plantera, rip golem in half (not a surprise), and at a push can be used against cultist, although I’d recommend a better weapon by that stage of the game

The Daedalus Stormbow really loses all of its charm when you go anywhere below the surface
