Last time, I was impatient and chose the option that nobody picked, ive regretted it ever since! this time i wont be as impulsive! I feel like increasing crit by 50% has gotta be OP? Especially since i picked up a really weak sword but its fast with higher crit boost. Maybe its better than swinging this strong slow club?

I think the chance increases 50%, so if you have 2% chance as a base it increases by 50% of 2 = 1. So you now have a 3% chance of a critical strike. Thats 3 strikes out of a 100.
Compare that to every strike dealing 10% more damage. 100 strikes out of a 100 deals 10% more damage.
If you ask me, I really like the damage boost.
I feel like these options are some of the more balanced profession choices – but I always go with Fighter. I prefer the +10% every time than *critChance = critChance * 1.5.*
Also, Fighter gives you +15 HP!
Fighter. I prefer more consistent damage than the occasional spike.
Crit chance bonus here is multiplicative of your base stat – so a 5% crit chance will increase to 7.5%. You’d get best returns on it by going with a Crit weapon and rings, but that would sacrifice other perks.
Fighter is less flashy but not as gear dependent, plus it unlocks another damage bonus at 10.
I prefer Fighter for consistent damage profile rather than gambling on crits.
Crit strikes is mathematically worse I think, but I love the crit sound effect. More crits is great, especially with weapons that hit really hard. Desperado at level 10 is also really good
I didn’t know fighter gave 15 health, that’s pretty nuts. You also get more health at level 10.
Always Fighter
I suspect Scout may be better, because the extra 10% may not reduce the number of times you need to strike a monster to kill it. You may end up really, *really* killing a serpent on the 3rd hit instead of barely killing it.
Fighter. Scout is only worth it if you add a whole bunch of other crit effects.
Depends on yo rings
While it ultimately depends on your gear choices, overall Fighter is the stronger choice most of the time.
Personally I don’t think scout is very useful at the stage of the game when you first reach level 5 combat. It’s not a +50% chance to crit, it’s a x50% chance. So for the best crit chance weapons you have access to, you’re going from a 4% chance to a 6% chance. Scout is OP late game, and with the right setup you can get a 25% overall chance to crit pretty easily, upwards to nearly 60% if you’re minmaxing and get all the right buffs
So what I like to do is take fighter, then much later pay 10,000g to the statue in the sewer to switch over to scout
