I’ve constantly been saying minecraft needs a faster way to excavate large areas.
Something that comes to mind for me, that i know Mojang would never do.
Nether Star fueled TNT.
Blast out a huge area in 1 go at the cost of losing 90% of the material removed.
A second idea that Mojang might be okay with is a “Boring” enchantment for the pickaxe or maybe the mace.
To dig out a 3×3 area like alot of modded tools can do.

You could glitch the Ender Dragon into the Overworld and have it destroy most of the island

What are you playing on? I have a friend that’s on PC and uses fill commands for large grade excavation projects like that. Cleared and leveled. a 250 by 250 block area in minutes.

If you have cheats enabled – spawn an Ender Dragon, it will frequently dive towards the land and destroy chunks of it.
(found that out the hard way when i accidentally used a command block to make a automatic Ender Dragon speed spawner, spawning dozens of them in seconds…now where they were frequently hanging around looks like it was bombed by several nukes…)
