This is absurd I've done 6 blood moons now and I think I've gotten like 17 money troughs but no shark tooth necklace. I think statistically the fact that the damn thing hasn't dropped yet is lower than its drop rate on master which is what im playing.

You really just have to keep grinding. The shark tooth necklace has a 0.67-1.33% drop rate depending on the monster that you kill. Try using a water candle and battle potions to improve enemy spawn rates (although the spawn rate is already insane for blood moon). You can also use the bloody tears you get from killing the monsters during the event to force start it again. Best of luck!
I hate terraria rng, use the bestiary to calculate the odds of this happening and the probability that you won’t have it by n kills, makes u feel betterÂ

Rule of thumb: stop farming for an item and it will show up instantly lol
