I’m using the right bait. It takes foreverrrrr for anything to appear. I’ve already caught a couple of obsidifish in this pool of lava, and tried a bigger one and it takes forever. I have fishing and sonar potions. Besides maybe just increasing my fishing power some more what can I do😠is there some hidden mechanic that lava decreases fishing power and that’s why it’s taking so long? Pls help I just want the demon conch for the shell phone 😓

Lava fishing just take ages. That’s literally it 🤷
Lava fishing does just take that long. Wearing a Lavaproof Fishing Hook and using hell bait at the same time will speed it up a lot.
Your lake is really small. Lava has the same lake size mechanics as water so you want a lake 300 blocks big.
In addition to lava fishing being slower, you’re also using a very small pool of lava, which decreases fishing power. You’ll want a pool at least 300 tiles in total area to avoid this decrease (water works the exact same way). The easiest way to find one this size is in the underworld (by standing in front of player placed walls, you can prevent fire imps or bone serpents from spawning).
