Minecraft and 7 Days to Die are great, AND my nervous system isn’t a regulated as it used to be. *Gestures to the world at large*

It is relaxing to me.

The graphics. I think SDV is one of those beautifully timeless games like A Link to the Past or Rollercoaster Tycoon.
And Krobus. Krobus is the best.

It’s both fun and relaxing. It’s so calming, like meditation. It brings me peace.

Just a great game to get your mind off the craziness of the real world. Stardew literally helps my depression.

My wife and I play it together, and it’s very fun for both of us.

I am not a big gamer but I kept hearing about how relaxing Stardew was. I wanted something that kept me invested enough without having to deal with jump scares and always murdering things but still gave me an immersive world. This game really does that while also giving me soothing down time. I even play it with my youngest while settling them down for bed and they love it.

Coziness. As long as you don’t go for specific achievements and aiming to please ghost of your grandpa this game is such a chill, cosy and warm it takes away all your stresses.

Bought it for the combat like LoZ, stayed for the cozy farming and never ending aspect of it.

It was 2018. I knew that PS Vita software was winding down. I bought this game. It took several attempts over about three years, but it finally clicked after I got a better job.
One of my embarrassing stereotypes: “video games written in English are angry, bitter, and conservative.” I passed on dozens of games over the years because they resembled this stereotype. So it’s been difficult for me to accept that *Stardew* is a genuinely good slow life game. Likewise, I tend to assume that computer game enthusiasts are especially angry, bitter, and conservative. This is why I still struggle to think that *Stardew* sold more than a dozen copies on Windows.
Finally, I’ve started enjoying the Ridgeside Village mod. It’s baffling to realize that the mod is close to canon in terms of content. After years of hearing that fan-made content was mostly excess gore and cleavage, I have no idea how to deal with this.

The fact that it has just a comically large amount of content without having to resort to DLC or microtransactions.
I actually would buy merch just to show the dev I really appreciate the hard work CA does.

Multiple different ways to play at base vanilla and modded blows those doors wide open.

Because I played more then a 1k hour and still started a new play through a few weeks ago and I am still hooked!

A lot of things, but if I had to pick one it would be the sheer amount of detail it has in its lore and gameplay. You can really feel how much love has been put into it through all the tiny random things you can discover. Items like the >!Meowmere!< and the >!blue chickens!< (though I still haven’t got one yet) are just so charming.

I can do whatever I want without penalty. Spend a year decorating my house? Sure! Neglect my animals and run ginger island? Go for it!

The replay ability factor, the fact it can be easily modded, Krobus. I say it’s a 10/10 game

Cozy sandbox game without zombies.
