Any advice on detailing this wall? Just got back into minecraft after a few years!

Heya! Just got back into minecraft and this is my first proper base and build in my first new world

I like the detailing bit something just seems off to me? Like its almost empty or something and i dont know what it is, i am also very unsure about the outside windowsill so any help/advice is welcome! Even if its about changing building blocks!

The second picture is the house this will eventually be added to. Ive tried to go with a rustic? theme and unfortunately didnt have the foresight to have the front face the sun or away from it but its too late to change now lol

I have used the complimentary shaders shader and the dynamic lights data pack.
