If you read comments here, I think shield of cthulu is overrated because of many youtubers using it at the end of the game instead of better options like the ninja gear which acts as an upgrade
I think the Terraspark boots are overrated. Even though I do have them on most playthroughs there really isnāt much of a point for getting anything past the Spectre boots. The other stuff is nice but it isnāt necessary to progress further and isnāt absurdly helpful, although if you have the stuff to upgrade on the boot tree just go ahead and do it as youāre not going out of your way to do it.
On the same vein if you happen to have like 6+ of the pieces for the Ankh shield and only need a couple from the common enemies I find it worth it to go ahead and get it due to the large immunities it gives.
Star Fury is one of the most useful pre-Hardmode weapons. It's sufficient for any regular enemy, it provides light, can illuminate caves and break pots through walls, and it's enough to defeat Skeletron, the Eye of Cthulhu, and the Eater of Worlds/Brain of Cthulhu. It's definitely not overrated. Its only downside is that you might simply not find it. Otherwise, not using it is just stupid. And that's even without mentioning its ability to attack from a distance ā a trait rare for a pre-Hardmode melee weapon.
I always hate it how just because something is good and most people use it at least once the conversation always shifts to "Oh its OveRateDš„“" no it's a good item and using it does not make me some sheep just cause i like what i like

I use the star furry up to hard mode. Not because it was good but because the star were incredible for exploring caves.
I use the starfury to look for caves, VERY useful in pre-hm to early hm

the copper shortsword is actualy realy good especialy against vultures given you can kill them with it by just aiming up

For me, its Ankh shield. Never in my hunderts of hours in this game where i felt like i needed it nor i ever crafted it once
Startfury is incredibly easy to obtain, you just need one or two gravitation potions

Copper shortsword can stunlock the hell out 9f most earlygame enemies if you use it right.
