I'm trying to play on a server with my friends but the tModLoader version recently updated and I can't revert it back to the previous one which the server is being played on.
I've tried altering the version on steam through the Beta's tab but that doesn't help as the versions are both not the right one.

Sadly you can’t via steam. What you can do is go to github, you can directly download the the previous version from there.
