is there any way to remove/change the underwater skybox?

i assume it is the skybox anyways. during the day it is not pronounced at all but at night (and especially with true darkness mods) it is very noticeable. is it possible to continue rendering the traditional skybox (and potentially the clouds) underwater? thank you
