How many active players? That farm won’t work too well if mobs can spawn for other players in the area.
Its not super fast even in single player, you get “a few tridents per hour” worth of drowned.

Yeah its probably server related because I made the same farm and its great

This happened to me too. It was the light level. When I put full blocks under the slabs on the roof and also removed any torches or light sources in the walls it was far better.

If this is java, you might want to extend the roof beyond the sides because of how pack spawning works.
