Note: I’m not talking about the update content is good or not, but which update system you prefer

The scariest thing is that idk what to choose but considering the shit they give us in game drops i’ll choose updates

Personally I prefer a mix of both, there’s not much left in the game to be overhauled in a way that can provide full update size content, they’ve done caves, below caves, the nether, the sea, so only the end and possibly (although probably never due to controversy) villages (for a second time) are left to have big updates, so drops that introduce collections of new gameplay mechanics, mobs, tools, blocks, drops that flesh out areas of the game that needed a refresh but isn’t the content that would make sense to have a full update based around it makes a lot of sense to me.

  3. Everyone complained that updates took too long, now everyone is going to complain that updates happen too often.

I would rather Mojang learn that they cant make everyone happy, but as long as I can play the game with friends without having to pay for anything extra Im happy.

  4. I prefer quality content, the first drops were trash but now they are good, but I feel microsoft could be doing more and are intentionally slowing themselfs to make the game last longer

  5. If either end up with the same amount of the same quality content?

Yearly update. Mods are more stable then and its much easier to return to a yearly minecraft hype to try all the cool shit as opposed to getting a constant stream.

But if the latter makes dev easier and lets us get better and more content within a year, then that. Frequent releases make it easier to get early feedback and make it more visible as to what the community actually wants so its absolutely possible that the game is much more in tune with the players this way.

Either way, Quality and Quantity both are important, its just easier to lose the scope of things in frequent updates but also easy to grow discontent with loss of direction.
