This is my first play through and I want to beat the mechanical worm so I can upgrade the mini shark but I already tried twice and I keep dying the first time I just used my normal set up and the second time I used mostly ranged and magic weapons but I keep dying I’m not sure what to do I put a image of my armor accessories and weapons I’ve been using for this fight so maybe you guys could tell me what I should change about it if I want to defeat the mechanical worm

Drippler Crippler cripples it. Abigail as well. Crystal/cursed darts. Supee star shooter. Anything with pierce really.
Upgrade your every weapons, only night edge good in your inventory
Orichalcum Armor’s set bonus is awesome against the Destroyer, as it fires piercing petals! The 6th hotbar looks like Titanium Trident, all you need to prepare left is Endurance Potion + Ironskin Potion + Snack with Exquisitely Stuffed buff + Lifeforce Potion (if you want to boost your HP) + Heartreach Potion (kill probes and they’ll drop hearts) + Campfires + Heart Lanterns + Pool of honey.
If you still can’t survive the attacks, consider bringing Nurse together.
