The hard mode V generates across the whole world, meaning that stuff higher up will get corrupted as well.

I’m still a new player working my way through my first play through (I’m down 2 of the 4 celestial pillars.)
I *think* a sky Island can get hit by the V
And same answer for the other, on my map I lost most of my snow biome and one of my desert biomes before I got the clementator (pretty sure I spelled that wrong) and started fighting back the corruption.
