Was just playing on my survival world then found this massive vein, went to make a new world with same seed.
Genuinely the coolest thing I've seen on this game, not sure if it's all that rare since Caves and Cliffs came out..

No it’s very unlucky
It looks to be 3 8 veins that happened to spawn connected, not technically a 24 block vein, since, at least as far as I know, diamonds aren’t supposed to spawn in veins bigger than 8, definitely lucky though, especially in a single chunk
