its personally my favorite ship currently! i have a few stories thought up that revolve around it! tho in some of my stories my farmer is why they become friends in the first place but still, I think it could work on its own in some ways.

I have never thought about shipping these two together before! Maru is interested in science and technology while Emily is interested in spiritual things and nature, I think this will make a very interesting dynamic!
So i went and looked up Emily/Maru on Ao3 and there was exactly one story listed and OH FUCK NO (do not read; like MASSIVE CW warning stuff)
I can emagine them have one (1) science vs esoteric argument, but emily gets upset and maru, understanding that it is a bit of a gentle topic, never goes back to the theme. Also emily might love stargazing with maru, adding magic trivia, and maru will answer with space science facts.
The more j think of it, the more i like it!
I think the age difference between Emily and Maru is a LITTLE big, perhaps. Emily is supposed to be among the oldest of the bachelorettes (most people put her in her 30s. I’d personally say early to mid 30s).
Maru is among the younger bachelorettes, probably like 19-21.
Yes, both adults, but the difference between an early-20s person and even a late 20s one (let’s give Emily the benefit of the doubt and say she’s 28-29) is pretty big.
I could be wrong about placing Maru’s age though.
