Riverland Farm was great for my run for the Joja Community Development achievement. The free fish smoker and low chance to fish up trash was a great early game money maker.
Putting Forest Farm in C Tier is a Crime! 🙅💢 Everything about Forest Farm is so good. The vibes totally match the theme of SDV, it's a clearing, decent farming tiles(good enough for me atleast), can fish in the pond, daily stumps for easy hardwood and there's special forage so you can just go for the Bat Cave option, it's the perfect farm!
In my opionion S: Meadows, Four courners A: Forest, River B: Standard, Hilltop D: Beach F: Wilderness
I will put my argument for Wilderness being F because the ONLY thing that made it unique was taken away with the setting to allow monsters to spawn at night on ANY farm
However the beach farm has crates with useful stuff that upgrades with the house as well with a level three house being able to get deluxe retaining soil
I love the four corners farm because the shortcuts are blocked by bigger, challenging obstacles, motivating you to push forward and are SO satisfying to break. It's also organized, and that's a huge plus for me, even though I play alone. Four spots? easy, four sections for specific money making routes and you don't need a ton of fences for animals.
I love the Forest & River farms because I feel pressured to use every single space or else my brain thinks I'm wasting it, It's so irritating like I want to just vibe but in the back of my mind I'm thinking "Man, I have so much space & I'm wasting it by not filling it with something"
Yea I wish I picked standard screw forest i am mad reddit dudes told me standard is a good choice but has too much space itd a waste and it'll be empty. And said pick forest because I get hardwood early. Bro theres like no uses for hardwood, when I did need it I was already able to get it the intended way anyway. The shape of forest farm sucks, you have hidden tiles surrounding the edges, too much useless water.
Why do people dislike beach so much? It has a decent plot of dirt to farm, plenty of space, secret tunnels and access to a painting specific to the beach farm. I don’t understand the dislike, I would personally put it at A tier with the only downside being the large walking distance
Imo Meadowlands is by far THE BEST. Not only do you START with a Coop but you also start with 2 chickens. On top of that it naturally grows Blue Grass which is 2x as efficient at feeding Grazing Animals thus they eat half as much daily (1 tile of grass instead of 2) AND when Scythed Blue Grass yields 2x the Hay as regular grass, only 2 tuffts need to be cut to get a piece of Hay rather than an entire tile of grass. Plus its got a very nice amount of farmable tiles, cuz lets be real… between buildings and such youll NEVER actually use the full 3k+ tillable tiles on the Standard Farm so that many tillable tiles is kind of unnecessary, which again imo makes the Meadowlands Farm Layout far superior to all others.
Beach farm has smth the rest of the farms can’t get basically if you like collecting and decorating DO THE BEACH FARM it has a little space in one of the corners that you can get the painting ‘boat’ from and it’s the farm that has the special little area

Wilderness Farm is EXCELLENT if you turn monsters off. Like, I know it’s the whole gimmick of the map, but the lake in the middle feels so correct.

I chose the beach farm thinking that I'll live next to elliot….
I love my singleplayer four corners farm
I'm only on the wilderness farm, dude. Monsters are my vibe.

No need for much farmland, once money starts to flow. And before you're not able to use it anyways.
bro did NOT put hilltop over forest farm💀
Wallah do you even play this game
