I dont usually see anyone using the bonus chest feature, but I love it. It makes starting a new world so much easier

  1. It’s a good feature because, in addition to shaving some set up time off the first day of play, the chest can have saplings from far off biomes, which is neat.

  2. I swear I remember in an old version that me and my cousin made our house on top of it and it kept respawining with loot on top, all I know was it was before mutton existed.

I most the time have a bonus chest. Mainly for the wood types that would be hard to get otherwise.

  4. I’m not a huge fan. It’s almost worthless except for what someone else said, biome saplings.

I’d put less basic resources and more useful specific things like more apples, maybe a fortune I stone pick, or even a bed.

It could also have biome specific loot tables, like guaranteed leather boots on snowy biomes, or dirt and bonemeal in deserts/mesas/etc. I also imagine some easter eggs like getting eggs to distract the warden if you somehow spawn in deep dark.

Things that actually speed up the early progression and can be thanked for by players of all skill levels. As of now I have no need for wood…

I always used them when i didn’t have Java yet, and wanted a super flat survival world

I always have it on and then forget it, I found it recently on my year old survival world which was a funny surprise

  7. I always use it. Not because it’s actually useful, but it’s just fun to see what RNGsus Claus brought me for this new world.

  8. I think I may have done it once but I really enjoy that first day panic so i generally don’t.

I usually don’t use them, I used them when they were first added in 2017, but since then I haven’t

  10. Before you could have coordinates displaying at all times on bedrock, I’d pick the bonus chest specifically to have something to mark the world spawn with (take the chest, leave a torch).

Now you can have coordinates always on for bedrock, but old habits die hard + I like the variety of miscellaneous items you get. (A sapling for a biome nowhere near here? Very nice.)

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever used one, from what others are saying maybe I should

  12. Used to use them all the time, then i kinda just stopped, i do sometimes feel like it clutters the inventory with 4 different types of wood, and also i like the fast paced start, break a tree, make a crafting table, 4 sticks, bam wood pick, 3 stone bam stone pick, craft more sticks, sword axe and shovel, like it’s satisfying
