Overlooking the historic market square in the centre of the commercial district of my island city Crescenzia, is a vintage gourmet butcher shop that has served the people of this district for generations.

(Pics 2-4) Customers can enter the cozy shophouse of the first floor and select from a variety of fresh, cured or smoked meats as well as meat pies and stews. The back contains a kitchen where meat is lowered from the cool room from the second floor and cut to customer specifications.

(Pics 5-6) In the second floor, the workers can grab meats from the cool room (which they can lower to first floor via crane), smoke and cure the various meats, and sleep at night in their bunks (for those who work too far from home)

(Pics 7-8) In the third floor, the owners live and sleep in their comfy quarters
