I feel like the spa and railroad are two of the most overlooked areas in the game and I really hope we get some changes to them in the new update.
The spa is a really cool concept, a place to regenerate energy for free just by taking a relaxing soak, but in practice I feel like its barely used by most players.
Getting to the spa (and into the water) take so long you end up wasting a lot of the time you would use that energy in, and your energy fills up so slowly that it's only worth it if you were right next to the spa to begin with. I know tons of people never even learn that you can replenish your energy in the spa in the first place.
The land around it is great for tree farming of machine storage but the building itself just feels a bit forgotten

It’s definitely unlocked too late for it to be practical. By the time players can unlock the spa, they’ve already gotten over the energy slump of early game for the most part. If it was a place you could access from day one, it would probably be used far more
I always turn the railroad into a tree farm, which makes the spa awesome cause once I’ve ran out of steam chopping trees, I can hop in regnerate, and go back to chopping trees. Fantastic early game way to get Forage exp and tons of wood. By the end of Fall 1 I normally have my forage maxed out and a few stacks of wood for crafting.
If you interact with the weights in the gym, it says “you’re too weak to lift them”. I remember seeing that earlier on and thinking okay cool, I guess later on I’ll get stronger somehow…but I guess not
I want to go in that glass roof room in the spa. Maybe give us a buff idk.
I wish the villagers used the spa sometimes. Would’ve been nice not to be lonely in there
Also I agree. The spa can be useful but it’s so out of the way, food is just better in the long run.
Add bath bomb items that make the bath water give you different buffs
The slow walk inside kills it. Takes too long to use.
Never use it bc unlocked too late and the slow walking thru the locker room (which is such a CUTE detail) drives me crazy, lol.
Removing how slow it is to get into the water would be a huge buff.
Along with the Community Center, definitely one of the most neglected areas of the game.
I think it would be really cool for it to be a late game renovation project for Robyn. Send a couple villagers there to mix up their routes a bit. Maybe have a mini festival. It’s a really cool, cozy location in an interesting spot on the map. It’s just a shame not to utilize it more.
I always thought it would be interesting if certain festivals alternated between forms. Stuff like the Luau and the Winter fishing festival are lovely but not super compelling once you first attend. Having them trade off with other smaller festivals would be a fun way to add variety, given that the calendar is already pretty darn full.
I wouldn’t mind something a bit more interesting to do there. But I do like that it isn’t somewhere you *need* to go. It’s a spa after all, it should be a relaxing place.
