The good ol’ fashioned starter hole. Far more iconic than the dirt hut imo. Most times I don’t even have the torch.

nah first cave session is harder, imo

Yeah, I’m inclined to agree. Daylight is far too short to get much done. So I play with bonus chest on to hopefully have a sword, axe, and pick within a minute, which gives me time to hunt down food, possibly wool, and to find a decent spot to dig into a wall or hill or mountain. I don’t dig a hole directly down if I dont have to cause of the chance of a zombie or creeper literally dropping in.

I’ve been playing Minecraft for over 10 years and I alway just play on peaceful the first week or so until I’m setup good.
Way less stressful that way, so it’s also more fun!

fr, for a quiet a while, i always tried to craft a bed on first day cuz I couldn’t fight the mobs and didn’t rlly want to build a small hut and end up just using it for a long time because it just takes a little too long to out-grow most smaller houses.

I have the first day and night always planned out in new worlds. First day im getting wood, food, leather, sugar cane and exploring a little bit. Once night is about to hit i dart into the closest cave and get whatever ores i can find. Usually get half diamond by the time i decide to resurface

The first day I always do one of 2 things, find sheep to craft a bed, or find a village to sleep in

Sad we cannot unexperience the 1st night.

I just experienced this for about 10 days.
First Realm with my 4 and 6 year old. We spawned in a dark oak forest, so mobs even during the day. Had to spend 10 days in a hidey-hole while we mined up some resources and I would venture into the woods looking for enough sheep that we could all get beds.
Eventually, we made boats and sailed to a decent spot about 100 blocks away. There was a lush cave and a trial chambers under our starter cave at y=12 that we found when we went looking for iron.
I later came back and built a little cabin and camp site and we raided the trial chambers together.

The first night is never usually that bad in any of the games so you’ll play through–

Nah the 1,229th night is the hardest.

In the worlds I played, it wasn’t that bad because I developed a habit of running straight for a nearby cave for dat iron

Of course it is what kind of a question is this. Yes you usually dig in but you could do that 500 days in too so compare the staying up difficulty. On any later night staying up will be easier.

For me it was. I died so many times and it was just annoying.
Now i play Java and I already have a lot of ores and furnaces in the first night, so i just wait it out if i don’t have a bed…

First night is the most special one, you feel vulnerable and weak, and the little space with one torch really feels like your home.
Then you get full iron armor+tools and you are not scared anymore.

I spend my first night in the mines. Whenever I start a new world, I know how I’ll spend my first day. I spend the day getting wood and food, amd doing some minor exploration. When the sun starts setting, I search for a cave. I then stay in that cave until I have full iron armor, and a couple diamonds. Then I emerge and start exploring the surface

I remember the first time playing. this is my first house. I thought I crafted a torch and ended up crafted a lever instead.

Not if you are lucky to find a village quick.
I get food and a bed immediately.
Then u can use the villagers to make an iron farm and trading hall 2in one.
By the third night you should be full iron

It’s really not THAT hard imo. If you get a good spawn you can easily craft a bed on the first day and skip that first night. If not, just dig the hole down, maybe do some crafting & smelting while down there, and then leave on sunrise and get away from where the mobs spawned. I also like to make a block of glass as soon as I spawn in so I can see when the sun rises without breaking the block above me.

I swear getting a bed in Minecraft is so easy now compared to older versions
