  1. What’s with the shark obsession, they could add any type of wild sea creature.

In fact, the nautilus is neutral, so I’d say they basically did.

    Neutral sharks sound boring.

We nee another *hostile* mob other than the drowned and guardians. The oceans barely have any unique challenges.

They should just create a hostile fantasy sea creature.

  3. Actually, from what I remember, it’s supposed to be because they don’t want to encourage real world shark hunting. A lot of sharks are endangered, so the fewer people hunting them, the better.

  4. They shouldn’t add coconuts with this logic (I know they’re not animals, stay with me) as they kill more people annually than sharks

Neutral how? Sharks can attack humans unprovoked, yet they also don’t hunt on sight, meaning that they’d need to make it so that they have a small attack chance, which would lead to the exact same argument that led to Killer Bunnies being removed from survival, that that would just be a random death event, which Mojang don’t like.

Pretty sure Jeb said at one point it was literally just because they didn’t wanna feed the “sharks are violent animals” myth, and making them fully passive wouldn’t make sense either.

They could have them be a special form of neutral where if provoked they bite you once for a big chunk of damage and then they de-aggro again, but also be able to be tamed where they’ll attack guardians and drowned for you. Sharks are the wolves of the sea, so having them be tameable as guard dogs and undersea helpers would be pretty neat.

  7. Mojang dosen’t know anything about animals to think dolphins and pandas are Fine but sharks aren’t

  8. hell it doesn’t even need to be sharks. the world just needs to feel more ALIVE.

i want to go to a biome and see things happening, i want to see apex predators hunt, but not too much so the area turns into a dead zone. i want to see something other than the same boring biomes where nothing happens unless the player does something.
