This is not a “they did it” moment. More so an “about time” moment after how underwhelming last week’s snapshot was. No shit they were going to update the aquatic baby models at some point

But they hate reusing already existing stuff for consistency. There were already baby squids in Minecraft Dungeons, specifically a baby glow squid (as a cosmetic pet). I guess the Dungeons one could be younger because its smaller, has thinner tentacles and smaller eyes, but still. Why didn’t they use that one. I understand why they didn’t reuse baby ghasts from Dungeons, they’re much younger than ghastlings. But I don’t get why they made a whole new baby squid design.
