In my opinion? Fargos. They add some stuff that makes grinding pretty much nonexistent or significantly easier. Not saying it’s bad, it just makes things much easier, something too easy.

I hate fishing as much as the next guy but there is a lot of “QOL” mods for fishing.

The alchemist NPC mod. Why go exploring if you can just buy literally any item in the game?

A lot of mods that let you just buy materials like stars, herbs, fish, and potions, with the exception of decorative stuff used in building.

Any fucking “Veinminer.” “Oreminer” etc that destroys metal chunks instantly. There’s an entire vanilla progress tree dedicated to the speed at which the player reshapes the world to the point where they can mine fast enough to die from fall damage and quick enough to gain the bonus of Terrasparks. Those mods completely sidestep a chunk of the game I happen to enjoy exploring.

Quality of Life or QoL, I’d say, is just a mod that streamlines something that you absolutely can do. It’s just really obnoxious. Sure, you CAN grind and create 100 boss summons to retry a really hard biss over and over and over… or you can just buy the summon and have a stockpile. Or, better yet, have a summon that isn’t consumable.
A QoL mod that’s crosses into “cheating” territory is something that lets you do something you just can not do in Vanilla, nor can you do anything comparable. You can’t get boss bags without beating a boss in Vanilla.
By that logic, I’d say Fargo’s Mutant is AlchemistNPC is a “cheat.” Fargo’s lets you instantly create a hellevator and buy summons from NPCs. Sure, you CAN dig a 5 wide hole all the way to hell and give it rope and torches… Fargo’s just gives you the option of doing it instantly. The only thing Fargo’s does that’s “cheaty” really is that you can cancel events with Abominationn. By comparison, AlchemistNPC lets you buy boss bags without fighting bosses and have arena buffs wherever you go. I’d say that’s cheatierter because you can’t replicate that effect/grind in Vanilla. Heck, the Young Alchemist actually sells potions for buffs not in Vanilla but rather combo effects of multiple potions.

Auto fishing. I hate fishing in every single game i have ever played it in. Terraria might be the most bearable. But auto fishing makes it soooo much better

Auto Fishing mod. It feels like cheating sometimes but most times I just don’t care. It offers me a different way to play the game which keeps it from becoming stale and I like that.

Luiafk and the only reason it doesnt cross into cheating is that i cant LIVE without the improved drill containment unit. Makes carving out gargantuan areas to make boss arenas etc etc so much more convenient. Otherwise stuff like the honey buff scroll, unlimited mana, and different rounding for lifeforce scroll, would push it into cheating, but i can just not use those.

There’s no cheating in a singleplayer game, stop judging players by their playstyle

Angler shop mod. Might just be me, but getting every fishing accessory, gold rod, and master bait with no work and effort feels like a little much.
Obligatory Fargo’s mutant, specifically the Squirrel npc

The vein mining mod is so useful sometimes when you just want to get that one big vein, but out of laziness you leave some behind because you’re too lazy to go and get them one by one.

VeinMiner. Saves a lot of time mining ores as you just have to mine a single for the whole node to drop.
Well it works for meteorites too

its only cheating if your playing with other people, if your by yourself or in a single player game, go nuts with it, who cares.

None. If someone is playing alone and not boasting about accomplishments, I don’t and nobody should care about how someone plays.
At the same time, it is their experience to ruin, I think they might have more fun not using mods that offer extreme levels of convenience, but I won’t judge if they feel differently.
