DoG is finally enjoyable to play without add-ons β€
What do you guys think about the animated bit at the beginning? I'm trying to make more of those in future videos. This one is kinda of experimental but it turned out great imo!
I'm actually about to fight infernum DoG real soon so watching this only makes me worried but damn it's so peak.. But good job on the no hit π

It seems to me that the remix of the music here is unsuccessful, because the original composition is very melancholic and "drawn-out"It seems to me that a loud percussive rhythm is not necessary for such a melody.

Putting aside the DoG getting an amazing facelift, the Phantasmal Fury's animation looks really, REALLY good now… I may have to do a mage playthrough just to check out the magic weapon reworks lol
Now DoG looks like a little bit less aggressive Infernum version with fancy lasers and effects.

I really like all new content but it sad anyway that part of mod just deleted. I still very miss Cirus. Where is my girl who tell what amount of times I died and sell me alcohol instead of crafting it?

What's your opinion about this, Myra? Is this a sign that Calamity can jump from the mod that only acknowledge for hard, challenge bosses to something more polished, visual improved mod?

Am I the only one who gets extreme lack whilst using the reworked Phantasmal Fury? It's a cool weapon and all, but I had to use Venusian Trident against DoG because PF brought my pc to its knees (VT still kicks ass tho)

So good to see you back again. This fight very much reminds me of infernum DoG, but like you said, slower. Makes me wonder if some of the infernum mod creators are assisting in the base calamity mod, or if they got inspiration from the infernum AI itself.
Also you made that intro animation yourself?? Absolutely stunning work, would love to see more of those in the future. They really make the fight before it happens a lot more personal, and the build up to it as well.
I'm definitely gonna have to give the update a run later myself, but probably gonna wait until T mod is updated to the current version of Terraria. There is no way I'm gonna be able to finish the mod in time before Monster Hunter Stories 3 drops. π

We just did this fight an hour ago with my friends , and yeah it didn't go so smooth, Because our DoG was glitched when it spawned, its segments were connected weirdly, couldn't even see the head or tail, we were expecting such a "good graphic" fight but all we got was a glitched worm π₯π₯

They took out his last dying words at the end! I loved that bit, I thought it added to it's character as a being so self absorbed they couldn't accept dying in combat to a stronger opponent

The music feels nostalgic with a touch melancholic (especially the phase 2 begin and end of the melody) – I assume it's just a custom choice for the video?
As for the fight, it seems a lot more relaxing and only has a few small intense moments. Not saying every fight has to be stressful though, we have plenty of those LOL
Did they fix all the Master Mode BS in the latest update? Seeing as you're playing on Death and it is now above Master.

this rework makes the devourer so much more intense but i really want them to make yharon harder since most yharon weapons can shred through the devourer

Surprisingly, the reworked DoG wasnt hard at all for me (i was playing in death mode), it sure did some damage but i still managed to beat it first try, still was a good fight, the problem was the background that i had to turn off to reduce the lag
