As a new player Copper tools and armor are a blessing, I used to struggle a LOT more early game before they were added.

Iron may be easy to find, but is it easy to find in bulk? Not always (though 99% of the time you’ll have enough).

Copper is practically everywhere in surface caves. People may skip it, but it has its place.

You may agree or disagree here, but copper IS more common technically speaking. So…

I just have terrible luck for finding ores early game it takes me at least 5 days to find enough iron for a full set so Copper clutches there. Also im a builder so i usually search for a place to build and only get better gear after so Copper clutches again as its easy to find like stone.

I’m not a new player but I love copper armor and tools. Leather armor was never worth the effort.

  4. I’d say a case can be made for copper armor. It gives 10 defense placing it between gold and leather.

It’s the copper tools that aren’t that usefull as they’ve got the exact same stats as stone tools, but with added durability. Cobblestone being much more plentifull and not requiring smelting does make this more prefferable as any coal at this stage would be better spent on torches.

Maybe I overestimate how good most Minecraft players are. I’ll be getting diamonds in 20 minutes and into the nether in 1-2 hours after it’s worth it to go.

  6. Yall forget that not everyone is a sweaty ahh gamer that doesnt even know what grass is, some players are just more casual and cant deal with caves as much thus not being able to get much iron early game, and copper is too common to worry about
